Chapter 17

JENNIE'S POV

It had been a week since our first official date and I'd never been happier. Being with Lisa made me feel so content and I couldn't ask for more. We'd been inseparable, though we kept things lowkey in school. Jisoo and Chaeyoung had been teasing us a lot about it too.

Whenever we were alone, things just escalated quickly but neither of us initiated anything further than making out. I felt that the both of us didn't want to rush things. I appreciated how she made me feel safe and respected which was why I trusted her fully.

The four of us were on our way back to the classroom after finishing our lunch when Lisa suddenly pulled me aside and let the other two go first.

"Do you want to come over later? Maybe watch a movie or something? We could buy food first," she asked, a hint of excitement in her voice.

I smiled giddily at her. "Sure. But I could just cook for us if you want."

"Okay, great. It's a date," she said with a quirky grin.

I grew impatient waiting for classes to end. After what felt like an eternity, all our classes for the day were finally over. As usual, the four of us headed to the parking lot together and said our goodbyes before getting in our respective cars.

I followed Lisa to her loft and we parked side by side. We went up to her unit and I headed straight to the kitchen, rummaging through the cupboards and the refrigerator to check the ingredients she had.

"I can cook kimchi fried rice with what you have here. Are you good with that?" I asked over my shoulder.

She nodded eagerly. I gathered all the things I needed and laid them on the counter. She offered to help, so I asked her to chop the bacon and mince the garlic while I prepared everything else.

After cooking, we ate on the kitchen counter while talking about whatever came to mind. Once we finished, Lisa offered to wash the dishes while I picked the movie. Soon, she joined me in the living room with popcorn, soda, and other snacks.

She sat beside me then wrapped her arms around my shoulders as I snuggled her torso. I clicked on the remote to start the movie.

For the first few minutes, my focus was entirely on the screen, until she started drawing random shapes on my arm. As her finger glided through my skin, I felt goosebumps throughout my body. I looked up at her to see if she knew just how much her actions affected me.

My eyes wandered across the smooth skin of her neck up to her full luscious lips. She seemed too immersed in the film to notice me ogling, so I attempted to divert my attention back to the screen and shifted closer. She lowered her head and I could feel her breath hitting the side of my face.

"Am I distracting you?" she whispered with her lips slightly brushing against the side of my ear, sending shivers down my spine. She put her hand below my chin and lifted it, compelling me to look straight at her.

Our faces were so close together that I couldn't help but lick my lips in anticipation. Both of us leaned in closer as if magnetized and in no time, our lips touched. The kiss started soft and sweet but as soon as her tongue entered my mouth, it became more demanding.

My fingers combed through her locks and when they reached the back of her head, I grabbed a fistful of her hair. Her hands slowly traveled down to my thighs and she pulled me in closer. I repositioned myself and put my legs on either side of hers, straddling her lap. I placed my arms on top of her shoulders and we pulled away due to the lack of air.

Lisa traced my lower lip with her right thumb while keeping her eyes on mine. We started to draw our faces towards each other again when I heard my phone ring. I debated whether to answer it or not.
