Louis and I walk out the door and I lock it.

"It's dark. How are we going to find him?" Louis asks.

I point to a figure. "He's the one with a bag."

We get into the car and follow Ashton who got onto a city bus. He got out about an hour later in a different town.

He ran and dropped his back by the door. Quietly, he looked into the house, knocked, and ran around back.

"What is he doing?" I whisper.

A man looks outside and opems the bag, confused. Then I notice Ashton moving through the back door trying to go into a room. The man goes back into the house and pulls a gun out of a drawer.

He puts it up to where he could hit Ashton's head and I panick. Running to the house with my gun in my hand, I yell, "Police! Put the gun down!"

The man dropped the gun and went to his knees. As soon as the man dropped his gun, Ashton ran into the next room over, hugging a girl. A few minutes later I hear a siren come into earshot and a cop runs in. "I got it from here sir," he told me.

"Thank you."

Ashton was holding the girl in his arms like he would never see her again. Quietly, I walk over to him. There were tears in both their eyes.

"Ashton," I quietly tell him. He looks up to me and doesn't let go of the girl. I don't want an argue tonight. It's late and I'm tired. "Let's go to the car yeah?" He shakes his head and I see the girl's arms tighten around his torso. "All of us?"

With teary eyes, she looked up to me and then to Ashton. Nodding, Ashton grabs her hand and they walk out with me. There was Sam waiting for me while talking to Louis. The young girl got closer to Ashton.

"Hey can I talk to these two for a minute?" Sam asked.

I nod, "Uhm yeah sure."

He walks off with the other two and I see nodding and talking. I look over to Louis and he says, "She needs a home now and I'm pretty sure we would be ok taking her in."

"But, do we have enough room?"

"Sam said she's really important to Ashton."

"Do you know how?"

"No clue."

The three come back and I look to Louis. "I think we could."

Ashton and the girl give us weird looks but don't ask questions. Sam gives the same look. "Think you could what?"

Louis asked to talk to Sam privately and they walked off. Ashton looked at me and pulled the girl closer. "Is she going with Sam?"

"Louis is discussing that with him right now. How 'bout we sit in the car and get warm yeah?" They nod and we sit in the car to wait. "Would you both like to listen to music?"

Another nod and I turn on the music. Soon, they show up and I turn to the two in the back. The girl was falling asleep while Ashton played with her hair. "I'll be right back ok?"

One ignored me while the other nodded. Getting out of the car, I look at Louis who is thanking Sam. I look at him and he nods. "At least for tonight and then we will see further into it tomorrow."

"That's great! Thank you Sam."

Sam chuckles. "You're most certainly welcome. Message me or call tomorrow and we can meet up to talk about this more."

Louis and I nod. "Thank you again Sam," Lou says.

"Yeah, yeah. Now go get those two to bed. The seem pooped."

We nod again. "I'll message you tomorrow when we have a time."

"Alright. Until then, get some sleep because you'll have 5 people to take care of."

"I'm driving!" Louis calls and gets in the driver seat.

Going around to the passenger side, I chuckle. "Child," I tell him as I open the door.

"Am not," he sticks his tongue out. "Alright everyone. Buckle because we're leaving now."

Then we were off.
