As he idly raised his foot up to the last step of the stair, he finally saw her, sitting by a table lost in her own busy world staring straight in to a netbook minding her own business. He had a slight hint of interest as he slowly approach the occupied lady and sat beside without her notice,
"Ah, studying so early this semester, are we?"
The male asked as he gazed up the blue sky waiting for a reply however she simply hums in response, so engrossed as to what she was so occupied with. Glancing at her in curiosity, his mind wanders to uncover the mystery to what she was so caught up that one has no time for such disturbance and the ability to give a proper answer.
"I was wrong, you're not studying." he said as he stared at the mobile screen as well, "You're reading... a story."
The lad realised and continues to analyse the activity she's caught with in the flipping computer while the young lady ignored the confused gentleman and carried on with her business. He read some of the few sentences and notice some unfamiliar deep English words and has come to a thought;
"I was unaware for your interest in Shakespeare, intriguing."
Blatantly stated by the man in an unbelieving tone. She glanced displeased and was about to respond with sharp daggers but didn't want her time and energy to be wasted by speaking to this fool of a lad, so she has decided to ignore him again and continue on with her reading.
"Romeo and Juliet?" The young man smirked at the discovery he found and was so amused by his own self that he didn't notice her fingers tapping unto the surface showing a hint of irritation but he just goes on,
"Have you seen the film?" Asking out of interest as he stare at the side profile the female was only letting him see. She paused her reading, glancing at the side of her eye to the annoying bozo and simply replied,
"No."
Showing an annoyed smirk she then pursued to stare back at the mobile notebook screen to continue her reading. He smiled at her expression, butterflies flapping in his stomach as his gaze went back to the sky while repeatedly picturing her irritated face in his thoughts, admiring her as he finds this woman captivating in some ways.
"Now I have the knowledge of your interest in reading, how charming."
The bozo said sincerely that it caught the young woman off guard because of the word he blindly expressed. She completely turned her head to face him directly giving him all of her full attention and he was not prepared at the movement she had made,
"Why are you so invested in knowing a thing about me or as to what I am doing?"
She spoke non-stop, a wondering thought while staring deep into his dark iris which made the male nervous as butterflies now aggressively flaps inside his core, he gulped a saliva by nature.
"And to answer your question before," she added frowning her eyebrows, "Who studies so early right after the school just started, especially if it's about Mathematics," she shared a piece of her mind, "No one likes that content not even Einstein himself." she declared with a smug all over her face.
"Wait, he doesn't like Math!?" he questioned in disbelief eyes blinking in surprise trying to cope with what he had just listened to.
"You would've disagree with me if you just at least read some books, airhead." she rolled her eyes while slowly shaking her head in disappointment.
"Oh, he was madly in love with Math."
She added in a soft tone with a smile while staring at the man's deep dark eyes again. The lad unknowingly drifts into her light brown mesmerising eyes as they both stare at each other's,
"I think I am madly in love too.."
He replied dazed like he was soaring through the heavens, he watch her expression change into a confused but precious face.
"With equations?"
She responded tilting her head with puzzled face, he smiled at her unenlightened knowledge that he has feelings towards the charming lady,
"With you."
He replied unhesitatingly, confidently and without any doubt. Comprehending as to what he just stated, her eyebrows shot up, eyes wide not entirely believing the words that just came out of the man's mouth. She chuckled as a nature in response,
"May it be true or not, but you shouldn't just express strong feelings that you are not so sure of yet." she replied in a calm and serious way.
The fellow gent anxious that she might have thought he was only playing with her feelings, he bit his lower lip and replied with deep assurance;
"But it is true."
He said as he reach to grab her warm-soft hand while the lad stared at her charming brown iris showing real affection. The woman smiled, "Oh Devon," she calls out as she looked at both of their hands intertwined together,
"The word love is deep and powerful, a word you shouldn't carelessly use for it comes with great responsibility and burdens to bear with." She said wholeheartedly and looks back at his daring dark eyes,
"Especially saying it to a person that you might not have strong feelings with let alone your questionable intentions a man like you have."
He was astonished to how serious she was now on this conversation, he has to act up and show beyond doubt of how true his feelings really were and how pure his intentions are;
"I know I am ready and is responsible enough to bear this fruitful love with pure intentions," he stated with complete sincerity and commitment that can be seen through his dark iris,
"And I know for sure I would only bear this burden together with you, Arie."
He finished his sentence and concluded his actions by lowering his head to kiss her lovely hand with his soft lips full of passion to the woman he was madly in love with. "Let me prove to you my deep affection of love."
The netbook then suddenly was shutting down and so the young woman has to find its charger in her bag while the young man was still standing by the stairs, staring at the young woman sitting by the table after he was lost in his deep thoughts.
"Oh.."
