Every child is same in the eyes of a mom. Frankly speaking I doubt that....My mom adored each of us. But my **dadi didn't. She had her priority list. She claims to love her children equally. From her actions you could say. It's not that she differentiated between her daughters and sons. She loved each of them in a different way.
All the affairs her sons did she never protested against it. Said nothing. She doesn't believe her children did anything wrong. **Dada was not at all concerned about his children life ....he was carefree gave everything in the hands of my dadi ma.It was a fine Sunday morning. I came back from my pre-school.After having lunch I was playing with my brothers. Mom and Dad started picking a fight. I was terrified. I was 4 year old kid. My brother Ahmed told me "Sneha don't need to be scared, we are with you". They used to pick a fight so often gradually I became used to.
Ehsan bro loved to take pictures. He had a fascination of taking pictures. All my child moments were mostly captured by him. Some of the pictures were so horrible my God. But as a kid who cared. That day while taking pictures Ehsan bro thought there was not a proper family photo of us. Last family photo was taken before I was born .And there were new addition to our family.
Mom and Dad were not talking to each other. It was so hard to convince them for taking a proper picture. My uncles lived nearby they came gradually. Everyone in the house knew exactly what happened today...even the whole society knew about it there were so many gossips but who cared anyway we all were used to.Mom was getting ready for the family photo shoot. Dadi and dada were picking all the best clothes they had....Mom never thought of herself beautiful. She put all her energy together n looking good.
I went to dadi I just touched one of her clothes she started to shout at me. Dad quickly came and took me out. Dadi always did this with me I wonder why....not only me same with Sadiq also.
Yesterday while I was just eating a biscuit which was my aunt's favourite. She started to scream because it belonged to her daughter.....I never understood her weird logic. My uncle arranged the camera somehow it was really difficult to find one. Ehsan always took pictures with a half broken camera . We all were ready. Suddenly dad started to scream at mom for not wearing his choice of dress.
Mom quickly changed it. Mom loathed that dress. But she couldn't say no. In our household women could not say 'no' to anything. The picture was actually clicked after much drama.
We had to wait for a day for that picture. When the photo came in our house, Dadi opened it first. The photo was very beautiful of our imperfect family trying to be perfect. There were some individual pictures also. My dadi she found a picture of Sadik in which he was not looking fairer ,she teared the picture town into pieces.
We all were speechless. Just because someone is looking black you can't tear it down what sort of toxic mentality she had who knew. Sadik did not spoke a word. When he was about to shed a tear, dadi whispered in his ear ,"Boys don't cry''.
Dadi smiled and went to her room. When I saw that family photo as a four year old kid i could see a haapy family. But if anyone saw that picture carefully it was a photo of a toxic family portraying to be perfect. Their hearts are sealed. They cannot see anything beyond themselves. Most importantly everyone in their seems to control other peoples life.
