Covered in blood, my blade clattered on the tile floor. Tears streamed down my cheeks and onto the fresh cuts. I had promised myself I wouldn't cry. The open wounds burned as the tears fell. I stared at my knife solemnly, I did it again. I've done this so many times its hard to keep count. I've become almost immune to the pain. I come home daily and this is the first place I go. You'd think the tile floor would be stained, but I've become an expert at hiding everything

I should probably tell you about me a little now. My name is Casey Callisto. I am going to a school called Flintwood High-school. I'm a skinny little thing with dirty blonde hair and I wear dark t-shirts and jeans with my favorite grey jacket and black beanie. I spend most of my time at home blaring Fall Out Boy and Skrillex and fending off the demons of depression. My mother is the spawn of Satan and I'm trapped under her control. My dad left the minute he found out my mom was pregnant with me, the cowardly bastard. Since then, my mom has had.... Lets say anger issues and is abusive.

"Casey! Get your ass down here!!"

Speak of the devil. I quietly wrapped my arm in paper towels and slipped my dark grey jacket over the towels. I made my way down the stairs and there she was standing at the foot of the stairs, I swear I could see the devil horns poking through the bun. She was a petite women with dirty blonde hair pulled into a tight bun. She works in a popular club a few blocks from my house. She is the top waitress there, and comes home drunk usually.

"Casey, what did i ask you to do when you came home?"

"Take care of the chores and heat up the oven."

"And have you done any of that Casey," she looked slightly tipsy, I chose my next words carefully.

"Not yet, but I was just coming down to do it."

She looked at me like I was a piece of shit in her way. I lowered my gaze to the tips of my shoes and didn't flinch when the blow struck me. Only after I was sure she had walked away did I look up. That was better than most days, she must be a little sober today. I turned on the oven and locked myself back in the upstairs bathroom, time to clean up my mess.
