"Are we getting dressed at any point this year Rayney?"
Roland was sitting back on his knees in his daughter's bedroom, watching her take more and more toys out from her toy box and slowly make more and more of a mess in the process. He sighed, knowing he would likely be the one to clean it all up.
"Nono!" Rayne answered, running her princess carriage across the floor.
"But, darling... you're naked." He started getting up to go and look through his daughter's closet. "If we don't get dressed we can't go to the sun-sun field!"
Rayne preferred the name 'sun-sun' in replacement of 'sunflower'.
"No sun-sun?!" Her face fell as she dropped her ponies and Barbie dolls.
"That's right... No sun-sun!" Roland's eyes widened and he tilted his head, his hand resting on the closet door.
Rayne immediately jumped up from where she sat by her toy box and scrambled over to her Papa.
"Okhey, okhey, I get dwessed Papa!" She at last gave in and wriggled herself onto her bed, feeling ready for her Papa to find something for her to wear.
"Good girlie!! Let's get some clothes on you." Roland smiled at her, tickling her bare toddler potbelly and making her giggle sweetly.

20 minutes later, Roland had finally managed to get the hyper 3 year old dressed into a sleeveless, striped summer dress and he had fixed her hair into a bun which sat high on her head."Hey Daddy!" Roland called out to his husband as he carried Rayne in one arm downstairs.
Curt came walking out from the living room where he waited for his husband and daughter and joined them at the bottom of the staircase. "Hello you pair!"
"Daddy!!" Rayne began to wriggle and tug, trying to get out of her Papa's grasp.
"You want Daddy to hold you?" Roland laughed, slowly passing her over to Curt.
Leaping into her Daddy's arms, she wrapped her arms around his neck and squeezed him lovingly. "Guh-mornin."
"Aww, lovely cuddle baby girl! Good morning to you." Curt kissed the dimple on her cheek and twiddled loose baby hairs hanging down her neck from its updo.
"I'm not a baby!" She protested with a pout.
"You'll always be our baby, whether you like it or not!" He argued jokingly as he turned around and set her down onto the mud room's shoe container, having already chosen her preferred shoes for the day.
Curt bent down onto one knee and began unfastening the velcro on the petite pink shoes, his daughter's patience growing thinner with each passing moment.
"Daddy take too long." She turned to her Papa and whispered.
"I know, right?" Roland whispered back with a giggle.
"Oi, little missy! Daddy's putting your shoes on now." Curt sniggered, placing the first shoe of the pair onto her foot.
Within the next few minutes, he had finished putting the shoes on her feet.
"Okay! I think we're ready to go, are we not Papa?" He smiled, standing Rayne up from her seated position on the container.
"Yep, I'd say we are." His husband nodded.
And with that the life-loving family began to leave their house, when that was suddenly interrupted by a shrill cry of panic.
"WAIT!!" Rayne cried.
Kneeling down to her level, Roland quickly tried to comfort and help her, despite still having no knowledge of what the matter was.
"What is it sweet girl?"
