Phoenix's P.O.V.

It was currently 5:25 and I was in the restaurant waiting for my dad and his friends. I stuffed my home jersey into my purse so I can surprise the guys with it. "Hey kiddo" dad said while walking up to me "hey dad! hey guys! How are you?" I asked, standing up to hug them all. We ordered our food and talked for a bit about everything before our food came out.

After dinner was over the guys and I talked a little more. "So what was it that you wanted to tell us?" Dad asked, leaning back in his chair "well y'all know how I play hockey, right" they nodded their heads "well I got a new jersey and I wanted to show you guys, but you all need to close your eyes first" I told them, once their eyes were closed I took my bright yellow jersey out of my bag and put it face down to only show my name "ok, open your eyes" I said excitedly "oh wow, this is nice. It's a great colour. And I like how the last name is printed" dad said while looking at it "turn it around I wanna see the front of it" Aaron said like a 5 year old so dad started slowly turned it around "no fucking way" he shouted as he dropped the jersey face down and got up to hug me. "What?" Billy asked, all three of dads friends were confused "look at the logo" I smiled widely "no fucking way" all three of them shouted and hugged me "holy shit I'm proud of you kid" they all said as they pulled away from the big group hug. "Aw dad, why are you crying?" I giggled as I wiped his tears away "I'm just so happy because my daughter made it to the NHL, that's why" he laughed and hugged me again.

"So when's your first game?" Jay asked me as we all walked into my hotel suite "my fist game is tomorrow. When are you guys doing your investigation?" I asked as I plopped down onto my couch "it's the day after tomorrow, why?" Dad asked from beside me "because I have a second part to my surprise" I said, getting up and walking over to my bag and grabbing out 4 tickets for the game "I want you guys to be there with me. These tickets are right beside the home bench" I told them as I gave the tickets to them. "Really? You want us there?" Aaron questioned "of course I do, you guys are my family and I want you there for my debut game" I said shyly "we would love to go" they all told me with massive smiles on their faces.

The guys and I talked for a little while longer before I started to yawn. "I guess it's time for us to head out now" dad said before giving me a hug "we'll see you tomorrow kiddo" Aaron told me, as he was the last one to leave my room "bye guys, love you" I said before closing the door.

I so excited, yet very nervous, about the game tomorrow night, this is my first debut since I joined the Battalions when I was 16.
