Third person~
Shocked is one way to describe those of witness, one could also adorn a look of worry, or perhaps fear. The sound of rapid footsteps, falling onto hot concrete, softly echoes through a freshly cleaned street. If one where to look at the one causing the sound, they usually wouldn't bat an eye, but today something was off. The usual, ghost presence, girl drew more attention to her then usual, although she herself was as worry free, that morning, just like her pale, white, hair blew behind her, almost like a wedding veil.
Ghostly, would be the proper way to describe her, on first glance. Yes she was beautiful, stunning if you will, yet not many acknowledged her presence. Perhaps it was her normally pale grey eyes that, when tied with her pale hair and skin tone, gave her a mist like vibe. If it weren't for a certain 'hairpiece', it would be like her presence wasn't there.
Her cheeks where adorning a slight blush, as she panted, her arms where hugging a black container, that stood proudly against her cyan uniform (is it cyan??). Her black thigh high socks, slightly rode down, her quick movement and sharp turns, gave her uniform a wrestle.
Taking one last turn, the blushed girl, finally slowed. Once she slowed she took the time to look around, you could almost see '??' surrounding her tilted head.
'Why is everyone glancing at me like that?' Innocently, she shrugged it off and made her way to past metal gates.
A certain pink haired teen heard her thought and gave out a huff, knowing what time it was. 'good grief, can't I go one week without this.'
Once a week, our main protagonist, forgets to put away a special thing, and drags a little more attention to herself. You would think the students around would learn how to handle it, but you would think wrong. It was common for people to be nervous to, potentially, upset the pale haired girl, and would leave it to her 'Kuu-kun'.
Kusuo Saiki (given, Family), surprisingly, the only friend Kusumi Yokai has. The girl was attractive, yes, but a lot where put off by her usual ghostly aura. The pink haired boy thought back to how he got 'stuck' with Kusumi.
The two met in kindergarten, before Saiki had his antennas. The oddly hair colored girl stuck out like a sore thumb, and her unusually dark outfit didn't help. Seeing as the two oddballs where alone, they unconsciously gravitated next to each other. At first, no conversation was had, both not ready to start it up, but when they did start talking, their uneasiness with one another left like a bullet train. Saiki, not completely knowing how to not use his powers, floated in front of the girl, on accident, yet it turned out for the best. Kusumi came for a line of witches, her being the first 'rightful heir' to the families power, she had her own set of abilities. She wasn't over powered like Kusuo, she had a lot less and weaker powers. Pyrokinesis, the ability to 'fly', illusion magic, and a weaker mind manipulation, where all she had for abilities.
Putting aside her odd coloration, she looked like a normal girl, right? Wrong, if not for her illusions, one could easily see proud, black horns adorned on her head, her ears pointed, and her flashing eyes (that flashed when intense emotion is flickered). Saiki, after growing more, could see all of this easily, illusion or not, and Kusumi, in return, could see past his own. The two stuck together, but yet Kusumi only had one friend, while Kusuo had many. That always confused the boy, although he knows, he played a large part into that.
Saiki would be lying if he said something about their childhood not being a cliché. His father was to blame for it, little Kusuo couldn't understand why people got married, all it was, was signing papers and changing a name. When he voiced his question, his father got very emotional, spouting out things like, "you have to get married Kusuo, everyone does." or "don't make your parents sad with that talk, you'll find love eventually." This all happened while the Kusumi was over for to stay the night, and so she voiced her thought, innocently, "Why don't we just get married, Kuu-chan, it would be a lot easier to do that then go about our lives." Her wealthy family taught her a lot, but sadly the meaning to those words was left out of shadow books. Yet without skipping a beat, and ignoring his turned-to-stone father, he hummed out "why not, sounds better then the other quest,". And thus, the two where bonded at the hip.
Don't get them wrong, now that they where older, the two know the 'meaning' in marriage, and they both remember their 'vows'. They both just decided to not bother. Kusumis' family was pushing her in her practice, and Kusuo had a lot or morons to deal with, so even if they wanted to talk about their plan, it would barge into the twos 'safe' hours.
The flashback was cut short, as the sliding door slammed open, to the class room. Slightly huffing, Kusumi shifts her way to her seat, the one behind her childhood friend. The pink teen gave out another huff and turned toward her.
"Again?" he projected, the girls eyes widened.
her pale hand grazed her head and pulled down the cause of attention.
"Hades?!" Her other hand went to her face as her face shadowed. In her hand sat her scaled familiar, a black and white ball python.
Hi author here~
let me explain myself. First, Saiki will be attempted to be in character for the most part, although due to reason, there will be some OOC behavior and actions. Also, in the anime, he claimed to be a tsundere himself, I will try to play off of that side, but more of the 'I show love, not tell you it'. Kusumi isn't a demon, i don't intend for this to be a fanfic where all of the sudden she's OP. Kusuo is the reason she doesn't get much attention, she doesn't want it so he helped out. Kusumi will follow the practice of a kitchen witch and a potions maker, for those who know that stuff. At first she was going to be a baker who just so happened to have powers, but meh.
