«They said they couldn't fall in love. They risked everything, taking their friendship to the limit, but they forgot there is an exception that confirms the rule»

The streets were full of people walking everywhere. The coffee I bought at Starbucks was about to fall at any moment. I looked down to my watch. I was late. Tony had a patient to attend in five minutes and his breakfast had to be on the table before he started. I made a shield with my arms and walked between all the people. They started cursing but I didn't care at all, I couldn't lose the practice.
I went into the building and sighed. I looked down to my watch again. Two minutes. Damn. I ran to the reception.
"Is Tony here" I asked to Tina.
"Not yet, you're lucky" she said and smile. "Come on!"
I turned around so fast that I crashed with something, or someone.
"Shit!" I shouted. I bent down to see the disaster I made. Luckily one of the coffees didn't spill. Tony could have his coffee, but not me.
"Next time be careful" I said angry "I don't have breakfast now, fuck"
I got up without looking to who made me spill the coffee in my clothes and left without saying something.
I went to the elevator and I shook my head to forget about what happenend a moment ago. It stopped in the the second floor.
"Mr. Wilson's Psychology room"
I opened the door with my free hand but the room was empty. I left the coffee in the table and went outside from the room. I let myself fall to my chair and sighed.
"Where's Tony?" I asked to Mary, Tony's secretary.
"He had an special patient in the reception, they're coming soon" she answered.
I heard the elevator's door opening and I start typing stuff to "concentrate" in my work.
"Oh! Seriously?" said Tony while he walked to the room. "I'm sorry, Harry, give me the receipt and I'll give you a cheque".
"It's okay" another man voice said that sounded familiar. "It's not your fault. Things like that happen"
And they appeared in the place. Tony and... no, oh my god.
I looked down and he had a big stain in his jacket. My heart was beating my chest so fast and my hands started sweating.
"Can you believe it?" said Tony while looking at Mary "A stupid girl spilled the coffee in Harry's jacket and didn't apologize.
"This generation is a disaster" grumbled.
I went back to my keyboard waiting for Harry to betray me, but he didn't, not in that moment.
"At least you have educated assistants" Harry said glaring at me but with a funny expression.
I was confused but still smiled.
"We should go to my office" Tony said.
When they left I let out the breath I was containing. I got up from the chair & I went to the toilet. I stayed looking at myself in the mirror at least for ten minutes.
"Michelle!!" someone shouted and knocking the door very hard.
It was Mary.
"You've been there for a long time" she continued "Are you okay?"
"Yeah, yeah!"
"Then come back y put on the uniforms or we'll replace you!"
"No! I'm going" I looked at the ugly me again to the mirror and then left.
"Today's guys don't appreciate what they got" she said when I was back in the room.
She's so annoying.
I was sure about what this opportunity suposed & I won't lose it. Not every spychology student gets a chance to practice with the best psychology from London.
My uncle was a professor in Cambridge's University and a good friend of Tony's, reason why he let me stay six months in his office. I didn't do a lot there, but he let me study some of his cases & his methods.
"Michelle?" someone asked going into from the door. It was a guy.
"It's me, what happened?" I asked.
"Someone told me to bring you this" answered lending me a bag from starbucks. I took the bag and opened it. It was a cinnamon coffee and a sandwich. It smell so good.
"And this?" I asked surprised "I didn't order this"
"It is a gift!" he said.
I took out the coffee and the sandwich and I found a little piece of paper with a note.
"I hope this makes up for letting you without your coffee".
