leah brown sat in her manager's office, confused as to why she'd been called in this early in the morning with no explanation. she found herself staring at the various headshots on the wall to try and pass some time, looking at all the people also represented by 'jones & co.' it was an esteemed agency with a pristine reputation, meaning they had built up quite the clientelle : from dancers, to singers, to actors and recently branching to social media "influencers." her face sat alongside names such as eddie redmayne, lily james and emma watson in the actors section of the 'wall of fame'.
"morning lea." the cheerful voice of her manager, lucy, rang through the room as she pushed through the door, slapping a fresh contract onto the table infront of her to wake her up. "bet you're buzzing to know what it is i've got here."
"being perfectly honest with you luce, i could not care less." leah admits, sarcasm lacing her voice due to her lack of sleep.
"looking past that, i've got a new proposal for you." she starts, opening up the contract. "as you know, you have just started rehearsals for the west end production of 'mamma mia'."
"is that what you brought me here at 8am to tell me? that i've started rehearsals?" leah sighs, annoyed to have been woken up early on her day off for something as small as this.
"if you'd let me finish. tickets aren't selling as well as the company had hoped, so they've asked us to help boost sales in any way we can, and the way we've decided to do that is by thrusting you into the headlines and building up your media attention."
"right... and how do you plan to do this then?"
"by using our secret weapon. meet your new boyfriend, harry lewis." she says with a big smile, pointing towards one of the newest faces on the 'wall of fame'. leah's mouth dropped open, wandering if she'd heard correctly.
"d-did you just say?"
"boyfriend."
