A/N: It's a short chapter to begin with, but hopefully enough to get a feel of everything. Enjoy.

4am. I'm awake already, yet only having 2 hours of sleep that I know will very quickly drown out itself and the tiredness will creep back up on me. But what can you do when you can't sleep?

I shot out of bed gaining a head rush and falling back a few steps, crashing into my bedside lamp. "Fuck it". I winced as I pulled my hand out of the dismantled lamp, shards of glass poking out of each finger. A sulk left my mouth as I opened the window, throwing the lampshade across the garden path.

"MISS PIMMONS IS THAT YOU AGAIN WITH YOUR AWFUL RACKET? YOU KNOW MY DARLING POODLES NEED THEIR REST AFTER THEIR PAMPER". Her voice felt like it could see through my soul and judge every inch of me. I wasn't in the mood to complain, so I simply stuck my middle finger out the window, a shard of glass leaving my hand and dropping on her head that was peeping over her balcony. I wasn't sure what her reaction would be but I knew it ought to be bad. As I quickly closed the window, I could hear a loud scream emerging from outside. And yet I am the one making the racket.

I quickly brushed up the shards of glass off the carpet, and took the remains of bulb out of my skin, bandaging up the hand. 4:43. Did I really just waste all that time from trying to get out of bed?

~Get a grip~

Oh. Right. Of course you've decided to join me at such a pleasant time.

~GET A FUCKING MOVE ON~
OK OK GIVE ME A CHANCE. Do you think I want to be sitting around here all day?

Right, where was I. Oh yes, first step of the day, get out of the fucking bedroom. I breifly washed my face, embracing the coldness of the water, placing a sharp touch on my skin. I carelessly slipped on some fabrics that you could barely call clothes from the state they were in. But if you thought I cared then you must be confusing me with someone else. I walked into the living room, taking a look out the window to see a dreary, cloudy weather staring back at me. Almost like looking in the mirror. I never normally stopped to watch the weather. I just let the world go by and tried to get through each day without frying my brain. I never realised how depressing weather could be until now. I guess when you're used to having a depressed life of your own, everything around you just blends in. I turned my gaze away from the window and headed over to the sink of the kitchen, grabbing a glass off the side and filling it with some water. My head was pounding now and I gripped onto the glass, gulping every last drop of water. My throat felt dry, as if Id been screaming for hours. Maybe I had. Last night is still a blur, and my mind feels too cloudy to think.

Anyways..I have more important things to worry about, like how to face Gretchen in the stairway after using her as a dartboard.

~That's never stopped you before~
I'll pretend I didn't hear that. Let's just get this over and done with before I end up annoying my boss too.

I walked over to the front door, grabbing my keys that were sprawled out across the floor from last night.
Making my way down the staircase, I could've made sure to step slowly and quietly to not get the bitch's attention but knowing myself, I didn't appear to give an awful fuck as I might as well of been stomping down those stairs.

"You".  Shit.

~You prick~
Did I ask for your input right now? Right..how exactly do I avoid this encounter. Make a run for it? No she's standing right next to me she'll just grab me with her bony ass fingers.
Before I could think of any other escape plans, she turns me round and smirks. "Do you realise what reputation you have around here? Kid, I'm trying to help you out with something known as manners and-"
"Do you think I give a fuck?" I could tell from her voice that she was trying to sound as polite as she could but her eyes  spoke for themselves, not to mention the gouge I implanted in her forehead.

Her grip on my shoulder tightened and her pupils grew deeper. "I'll say this one time and one time only. If you make any more racket or cause ANY form of nuisance towards me, I will shred you with a chainsaw, limb by limb and feed you to my poodles".
Is she sure these poodles are the love of her life?
I removed her grip from my shoulder and  patted her head, causing a slight wince from the contact of her wound. "You have a swell day Gretchen". I turned my back, going down the last flight of stairs. The walls stared back at me, making the place look more saddenning than I ever could. Don't count me on that.

As I opened the door, a waft of fresh, thick air sprung itself upon me. I suddenly realised how cold it was and how unfitting my outfit was for such a temperature. I guess I wasn't thinking whilst putting my outfit on. It feels like I haven't been thinking this entire time. What the fuck is happening..
