Chapter 1

Ximena's POV
Uptown Funk was playing from my phone "fuck" I said groggily "stupid ass song" the only reason I put that song as my alarm is because that song has annoyed me ever since it came out & I knew it would wake me up for sure.
Today was my big day Graduation!!!!! Today was the day that I finally got out of that prison they call Highschool.

"Mena" my mom called from downstairs "turn that shit off & start getting ready" you see my mom is a bus driver so she gets up at 4am & leaves at 5:30am which is like in 5 minutes. People always tell me "your so lucky" but they get that I don't get to do stupid shit on the bus like all the other kids because all the bus drivers know me & my mom tends to sing her corridors on her bus.

Anyways I'm going off topic, I'm Ximena Hernández im 17 yes 17 my birthday is Sep 1st so I graduate at 17 & I have two little brothers Rafael 9 & Hazel 7 but we call them Rafa & Haze. I live in Coachella Ca. & yes I do live we're they host Coachella Fest, oh ya & I don't know my dad so that's pretty much it, time to get ready.
"Mom!!!!" I yelled downstairs "Que Paso" she replied "Have you seen my glasses" I screamed downstairs "No, but you better find them, that's $200 dollar glasses Ximena" you see I've had to wear glasses since I was in head start . So when my mom buys me glasses she buys the best so they can last longer.

I've had JuicyCouture,Converse, & RayVans you name it. Recently I broke my glasses so I just got new ones Armani Exchange black rim glasses, I like going for the nerdy look but I'm far from it.

I went to my room again & found them under my bed "how the hell did they get down here" I mumbled to myself . I always tend to lose my glasses.
My outfit for today is nothing special since it's going to be covered up any way. It's a simple striped white shirt with some denim slightly ripped skinny jeans & some white vans. I straitened my hair, curled my lashes, put some lip gloss on, grabbed my bag & headed out the door to the bus stop.

Once I got to school I met up with my best friends Grace that has been with me since 3rd grade & Ana she's was with me from the start of freshman year. We were all short but I was the shortest & the plainest of the trio. Grace is 5'5 tan like me black hair & blue eyes she's more on the shy side but once you get to know her she is super sweet & has a really loud laugh like me & Ana. Ana is another story she's 5'4, pale with light brown hair & hazel/brown eyes she's the complete opposite of shy like me but she can be very blunt & hilarious. There both stunning & I'm over here short as can be at 5'2, brown eyes & brown eyes with extremely long lashes, & the only trait I have is that I'm really loud & love playing soccer unlike both my other friends who hate it....there more of softball & volleyball girls but I can't play either sport to save my life so I stick to soccer & football.

"Hey hoes" I yell and hug my friends "Bitch" my girls say at the same time as they hug me. "Let's go eat breakfast" I tell them "Suck my ass" Ana tells me like always, the bitch always eats at home because she doesn't have to take the bus like me & Grace. "Common Ana were hungry" & we both pout our lips that we both know she can't turn down "Fine!!! You guys are evil you know that right" " Ya but you still love us" me & Grace say at the same time "your right I do" she said.
