Chapter 27

Five days later

Peter woke up before Nicole did so he just laid there next to her, running his fingers through her soft, black hair. "So beautiful." he whispered softly.

Nicole woke up, sat up and stretched. "Good morning, hubby." Nicole grinned then kissed Peter.

"Good morning, darling." Peter smiled, pulling Nicole into his arms. He kissed the top of her head then let go of her and stood up. "We have to get checked out love." Peter looked at his wife.

"Yes we do. Today is another special day and it would suck if the maid of honor was late." Nicole winked. She got up and helped Peter pack their belongings.

Nicole and Peter checked out of the hotel and got on the plane back home. Five hours the plane landed at the New York airport. Peter and Nicole got off the plane and gathered their bags. They got in the car and Peter drove home. Nicole grabbed the bags out of the car and brought them in while Peter left to pick up Clementine from Tony Stark's house.

Megan: I'm on my way. Are you home?

Nicole: Yes I just got everything put away.

Megan: Okay 💞

Megan showed up ten minutes later and knocked on the door. Nicole answered the door and hugged Megan. "Hey." Nicole smiled.

"Hey." Megan smiled back. "I'm so ready to do this." Megan clapped. Megan went to the bathroom and changed into her wedding dress she had draped over her arm. Megan came back out. "How do I look?" she wondered.

"Beautiful!" Nicole grinned. Nicole helped Megan with her makeup and did her hair.

Back at Carl's house Rick was helping Carl get ready for his wedding. Carl watched as Judith played with Evan to keep him occupied. "Aww." Carl smiled.

"Looks just like you." Rick smiled at his son.

"Thanks, dad." Carl smiled back.

Rick nodded. "I think we're don't here." Rick said looking at how nice his son looked in the suit.

"Awesome!" Carl grinned.

"Dada." Evan called out as he ran up to Carl to hug his leg.

Carl picked his son up and brought him outside and put him in his car seat then buckled him in. Carl got in the passenger seat and Rick got in the driver's seat and drove to the church. Everyone else loaded up with each other and followed.

Rick and Carl were the first ones to show up. Slowly everyone else started showing up and put up last minute decorations. There was an elegant sign that read "Mr. and Mrs. Grimes" on it. Everyone took their seats and Carl got in his place then turned around so he couldn't see Megan when she walked in. The man of honor lined up to the left of Carl; his father. Then the groomsmen lined up; Daryl, Glenn, Peter, and Mr. Stark.

"The bride has arrived." Father Gabriel announced.

Right before Megan got up front Carl turned around and was completely speechless, "So beautiful." Carl whispered.

Megan stood with Carl hand in hand. Nicole got in her spot, the maid of honor. The bridesmaids lined up next; Judith, Michonne, Maggie, and Carol.

"We are gathered here today to witness this beautiful wedding of Carl Grimes and Megan Underwood, soon to be Megan Grimes." Father Gabriel started. Megan was already going teary eyed so couldn't believe she was finally marrying the love of her life.

Do you, Carl Grimes, take Megan Underwood to be your lawfully wedded wife? To be a loving and faithful husband, in plenty and want, in joy and in sorrow, in sickness and in health, as long as you both shall live?" Gabriel looked at Carl.
