Eye contact

Chapter One

I wake up, and look at the time. It's 10:00 am, so I decide that I should probably start my day. I get up, I didn't realize how tired I was last night so it's good that I slept in. I did a big photo shoot with jlo till like midnight, then of course the 30 minute drive home.

I walk to the bathroom, and wash my face with cold water to wake me up a bit more. Before I do my make up and look for the day, i take a shower. I took like a 15 minute shower, then got out and did my makeup, hair, and outfit. I felt like looking cute today so I went a little out of my comfort zone and put a bit more makeup then usual and I put on just a basic me outfit.

I ran down the stairs to see all of my friends there, Madi,larray,James,Nikita,Noah,amelie,Blake,Curtis,avani, like everyone. I then see balloons, and a cake that says 'morphs 2' I was so surprised, also happy because this looked amazing, also all my friends were here so automatically I'm going to be happy because my friends are literally the best. No joke. One time I was late for a meeting and I hadn't got my dunkin

Which as you know is the only thing that gets me going- but anyways, madi literally saved me. She brought me my dunkin and dropped me off because Dixie REFUSED to drive me, ugh. I think she was hanging with Noah and Curtis or something.

I see madi, Noah, avani,and James which are like my mainnn besties. I don't pick favorites at all! But these four are who I'm the closest with. I run up to madi and avani to jump on them, and give them a long tight hug. I haven't seen them in sooooo long, I missed them so much! "Hi bebe" avani yells as she hugs me back, "I missed you so much!!!" I yell back. "I missed you moreee" she says in reply.  "Hey I missed y'all too!!" Madi yells wanting to get our attention. "Oh come here I missed you too bub" I say laughing as I pull her into another hug.

"I'm here too" Noah says laughing. "Oh I forgot about you, Noah neck" I say as I laugh back at him. "Rude" he rolls his eyes jokingly, and pretends to cry. "Crybaby" I say. He looks at me and pouts, trying to make me feel bad. I love our relationship, like I can actually be myself and joke with him, and he gets it. He gets me. "I'm sowwy" I laugh and hug him. "I missed you" he says, still hugging me. "You saw me yesterday, but I missed you too" I laugh. He makes eye contact with me for a couple of seconds before responding. "I know I know, but I still missed you, also we didn't really get to talk yesterday. We both were kinda busy". "Yeah.. but I was wondering if you wanted to go get lunch with me tomorrow, I'm lonely and no one else will go with me, also I have no other plans." I say, maintaining eye contact. "I'd love to, sounds like fun." He smiles, as if he was actually exited to spend a day with me. "Great" I say as I smile back at him.

Our eye contact breaks as Dixie says "hey Noah" and hugs him. I step back a bit to give them their space while they hug. "So what y'all talking about?" She says trying to break the awkward silence. "Oh just me and charli are going to hung out for lunch tomorrow" Noah explains. "Oh that's cool" she says as a reply.

I walk away and talk with Curtis and James for a few minutes, until noah comes up to me again. "Hey" he sits down next to me on the couch that me, Curtis, and James are having our conversation about if border collies or golden retrievers are better. Personally I like both, I don't think I could choose a favorite. "Hi" I smile at him. "So how is your day so far?" He says Trying to make conversation with me. "It was great!, thank you for asking" I say genuinely glad that someone cares. "Of course, and that's amazing to hear" he smiles back at me. "You look beautiful today..well you look beautiful every day but I like This look on you" he says, something is off with him today..like I'm not sure how to explain it but he's not usually this interested in me. "Awh thank you so much, you look great today too! Well you look great every day but I like this look on you" I say Mocking him in a joking way. He laughs "but no really you look amazing". "Stoppp youre making me blush" I giggle. He looks at me, with this look in his eye again I can't explain it but today this boy is full of mysteries. "What?..do I have something on my face?" I say and I wipe around my face, thinking that's what he is looking at. "No no just admiring." He laughs and smirks at me.

Oof okay here comes butterflies. BIG TIME.

I giggle, not knowing how to reply. "Hey guys come on, don't you want to do the pin yada?!" My dad yells from in the back yard. "Coming" we all yell. Noah gets up first and puts his hand out to help me up. "Thank you" I say, I swear today he's being so sweet! Like does he want to tell me something? Or is he just being a gentleman? "No problem" He smiles. We all walk out to the back yard to see a morphe 2 pin yada, in the shape of nail polish since we just came out with the morphe 2 nail polish. "Oh my goodness! This looks so cool! I love it." I say.

First Dixie gets to hit it, my turn is after hers, so I just watch as he does it. I glance beside me, where Noah is. To see him looking at me with a smile. He quickly looks away once he releases I saw him 'admiring me' Lmao

I roll my eyes jokingly and laugh, I tap his shoulder. "Hm?" He says, acting like he wasn't just looking me up and down. "Never mind" I laugh. He looks away. He has this look on his face, like
He really really wants to tell me something. "Is there anything you want to tell me" I say curious in what, and even if he wanted to tell me. "What do you mean?" He chuckles. "I don't know.. you just have this look on your face"

I make eye contact with him once again. "No, i don't think there anything in particular" he fake laughs and looks away. "You sure" I whisper. "Charli it's your turn!" Dixie says as she hands me the blind fold and bat. "Oh okay thanks" i get up and try to hit the pin yada and miss the first time. "You got it charli" my mum laughs. "I'm trying" I say laughing as well.

Noah giggles at my struggle. "Not funny noah neck" i say jokingly. "Okay charli damilklio" he says. okay first off that's not even funny. I've heard that so many times it's just annoying. But I mean kinda funny I guess. "Ahaha you're not funny mr 'contoured abs'." I say remembering that people always make fun of him for 'contouring his abs' it kinda became an inside joke to us. "Ouch" he chuckles. "What can I say..I'm good at comebacks" I push my hair behind my shoulders in a flipping manner. He just laughs. "Okay I got it this time" I say as I hit it. "Yesss finally" I say.

I get it the next two times then we rip it open.

About an hour later everyone leaves, except for mads,avani,and Noah. We all are just talking about random stuff like what we would be doing right now if it wasn't for tiktok or if we had crushes and stuff like that. Noah wasn't as talkative as he usually was which kinda worried me. I tap Noah's shoulder and point Tords the stairs signaling that I wanted to talk to him in my room, or just alone somewhere upstairs.
