Before the arriving at the party Marcus stops the car a few meters away so Liz can get out. It wouldn't look good for a waiter to be seen arriving at the party with the guests.

When we arrive Marcus gets out of the car and opens the door for us.

Jace gets out the he extends his hand towards me. I take it and get out of the car as well. Then I put my hand in the crook of his arm and we walk to the entrance.

"Names please," says the guard.

"Simon and Maddison Flint," I say.

The guard starts checking the guest lis on his tablet.

"You're not on the guest list," says the guard.

"Um guys you guys are gonna have to distract him while I hack into the guest list and add your names," says Tyler through the earpiece.

I can see Jace tense up.

"What?" I say pretending to be surprised. "How is that possible. My husband and I were personally invited by the governor and he told us that we wouldn't have any hustle getting in since our families have a very good relationship."

"Well too bad. You might as well be the president but as long as you are not on the guest list then you're not getting in," says the guard.

"Honey ,I told you that you should have accepted the offer to use our company as the security of this party. Now they are not letting us in just because this guy didn't look properly on the guest list."

"But like I told you ,these government events need government security. If I had taken care of the security then we wouldn't get paid," says Jace getting into character.

"Good job guys. Just keep going for a few more seconds. I'm almost done," says Tyler.

"You see. That's exactly what I don't like about you. All you care about is money. You can't do something for the praise or the honor. Everything about you revolves around money!" I yell.

"Well if you weren't so demanding then not everything would revolve around money. I'm always trying to get money so that I can buy you all the designer purses and designer shoes that you're always demanding," says Jace pretending to be angry.

"Okay guys, I'm done," says Tyler through the earpiece.

"If you two have some problems you need to sort out then I suggest you sort it out at your own home because this is a private party and you are causing a scene," says the guard.

"I'm sorry. Can you please check our names again?" I ask.

"I already checked and like I said there is no ... Wait a minute! What are your names again?" he asks.

"Simon and Maddison Flint," I say confidently.

"Oh. Turns out you are on the guest list. I'm sorry for the delay ,you can come in," says the guard.

"The governor is surely gonna hear about this," I say as we enter.

"Great job," Jace comments.

"Two compliments in one night. I feel like a winner tonight," I say and Jace chuckles.

"It's your first time and you're already killing it. It would be evil not to compliment you," says Jace.

"Thanks," I say.

"You're welcome," replies Jace. "There is the governor let's get that eye scanned."

We both walk to the governor.

"Mr Cruz. It's so wonderful to see you," says Jace.

"Good evening. Hope you are enjoying yourself," says the governor.
