Fenrir~Sneaky

It was early evening when you were walking down the halls of Black Army headquarters to help prepare dinner for everyone. The sun was just barely setting, casting an orange-red glow through the windows and onto the dark blue and black rug that lined the floor of the hallways.

You were almost there when you walked past Fenrir's room. You stood staring at the door, contemplating whether to knock or not. On one hand, you wanted to see him, but on the other, you had to help with dinner. You glanced at the clock that was hanging on the wall.

You still had time.

You walked towards his door and knocked a certain rhythm. You heard a little bit of shuffling and then the 'click' of his door opening. You blinked. No one was at the door. You looked down and saw Shu Shu sitting and wagging his tail. "You didn't open this door, did you?" You picked him up and stepped into his room, looking around.

As soon as you were fully inside, you heard the door shut behind you. You tried to turn around but you were tackled onto the bed before you could realize what happened. You luckily tossed Shu Shu onto the bed first so he would have time to get out of the way before you crushed him. You and Fenrir fell onto the bed with you on your stomach and Fenrir on top of you, his arms wrapped around you in a loving embrace.

"Good job, Shu Shu! We've got her now!" Fenrir laughed. You gasped, realizing what he just did. "That was so sneaky!" You yelled playfully. He had hidden behind the door, placing Shu Shu in front of the door in order to confuse you. "I'm glad it was you, though. I thought it was a ghost!" You giggled. He hugged you tight. "Don't mention the 'g' word," he scowled. You craned your neck to peck his cheek, "I'm sorry. I just wanted to get you back."

He rested his head on the crook of your neck, and you listened to the rhythm of his breathing. You giggled, "Are you tired?" He responded by lightly nuzzling your neck. "I have to help with dinner," you said while trying to remove his hands from your waist. "You should take a quick nap before you eat," you whispered. He gripped your waist tighter, humming in acknowledgement.

You sighed, knowing you couldn't leave. Even if you could, though, you wouldn't. "Fine. At least let us move into a more comfortable position," you smiled. He reluctantly got up and you moved to lay down on his bed, facing the door. As he moved to lay down next to you, you heard Shu Shu jump onto the bed. He spun around a couple of times, getting comfortable, and layed down between you.

You turned towards Shu Shu and began petting him. You then felt a hand on your head. You looked up and saw Fenrir's eyes on you while he lovingly pat your head. You closed your eyes, enjoying the feeling of his rough fingers running through your hair and massagingyour scalp. Your eyelids began to flutter close and the feeling of Fenrir's hand began to fade away.

You woke up to the sound of shuffling. You picked your head up slightly, trying to get a better look at what was making the noise. You noticed the shuffling came from Shu Shu, quietly playing on the floor. You then felt a slight tugging on your waist. You slightly craned your neck to see what it was and saw Fenrir cuddling your back. You quietly giggled, turning to face him instead of the door. You placed both your hands under your head like a pillow.

He looked so peaceful while he slept. The full moon shone on his face, making him enthralling. You couldn't look away. You looked at his tousled hair, reaching to run your fingers through it.

You felt him shift and you snatched your hand away. He slightly opened his eyes and you shut yours. He chuckled lowly, "You're so pretty." You felt him run his fingers through your hair. It took everything you had to not lean into the familiar feeling.

He pulled you closer to his chest and placed a gentlemanly kiss on your forehead. He pulled away and rested his chin on top of your head. You could tell he was looking out of the window behind you.

He sighed. You almost opened your eyes to ask what was wrong, but then he spoke, "What would I do if you weren't here?" He began to stroke your head. "Sorry for dragging you into bed with me, but I really needed to know you were with me tonight," he said. You cuddled your head into his chest, trying to seem like you were doing it unconsciously. "I know I don't show it, but I get really anxious on nights like these, ya know? The hole to your world is open, so I wonder if what I'll do if you leave. I know you won't...but I can't help it," he hugged you tighter, placing another kiss on your hair this time. "The thought of you leaving is scarier than ghosts. But then I think, if she does ever leave, I'll just go after her. We're partners. I'll be with you as long as I'm alive." He softly grips your hand with a shaky one.

You open your eyes, distancing yourself from him a little, and met his carmine pink eyes. You lift your intertwined hands to your lips and kiss his hand softly. Tears we're prickling your eyes as you spoke with a shaky breath, "I'm your partner, and I will be with you for as long as I'm alive." He pulled you to his chest again, holding you tight. You leaned into his embrace as you both sobbed quietly.

When you both finished crying silently, he gave a shaky laugh. "Who's the sneaky one now?" He said. You giggled, "I'd say I'm sorry, but I'm really glad I was sneaky tonight. I'll be with you on these nights from now on," you paused, "No, I'll be with you every night." He lifted your head slightly, and pecked your lips. "I like that idea." You smiled as your eyelids grew heavy. "You should go to sleep," he said, softly. You sighed and cuddled his chest, "Okay. But only if you do too." You felt his chest shake as he chuckled. Your breathing began to slow down as you fell asleep to the rhythm of his heartbeat.

"Alice! You missed dinner last night!" Seth whined while gripping your arm. You laughed a little, "Sorry, Seth. I got kind of...busy." You glanced at Fenrir and Seth immediately caught on and stomped over to Fenrir who was stuffing his mouth with pancakes. "I'm fine with you and Alice, but if it interferes her eating schedule then we have a problem." Seth said menacingly with his hands on his hips. Luka walked up to Seth and placed a hand on his shoulder. "It's okay Seth," he said making you and Fenrir sigh in relief.

Luka's eyes darkened as he stared at Fenrir, "He'll just be eating tomatoes for the rest of the week." Fenrir gasped and got on his knees, pressing his hands together in a begging motion. "Please, don't do it! It won't happen again, I promise!" Luka continued to glare at Fenrir while Seth giggled at his desperation.

You laughed, and walked over pulling both Seth and Luka away and back to their seats at the dinner table. "C'mon, stop bullying Fenrir and eat your breakfast. I went all out to make up for yesterday!" Seth and Luka shared a look then sat down before stuffing their faces like Fenrir did earlier. Ray and Fenrir were having an eating contest to see who could eat the most pancakes and Sirius smacked both of their heads, telling them to slow down before they choke.

You smile to yourself. You would never leave any of them behind.
