Gillyweed was the answer to it all. Dobby woke up Cassandra ten minutes before she was supposed to wake up. He told her how he overheard McGonagall talking and the methods champions might have used. Cassandra had thanked Dobby for all he did and truly appreciated him.
Harry and Cassandra walked with Neville to the boats that were taking them to the task.
"Neville, do you know anything about gillyweed?" Cassandra asked.
"Oh yes, I know plenty. Herbologists like to debate the effects of it in saltwater and freshwater."
"You're better help than Ron and Hermione." Harry said, looking for them.
They made it to where the second task took place.
"Welcome to the second task!" Barty Crouch said. "Last night, something was stolen from each of our champions, a treasure of sorts. These four treasures - one for each champion, minus the twins - now lay at the bottom of the Black Lake. In order to win, each champion need only find their treasure and return it to the surface. Simple enough, except for this - they will only have one hour to do so, and one hour only. After that, they will be on their own."
Cassandra and Harry stuffed the gillyweed into their mouths, both gagging on the awful taste.
"No magic will save them." Crouch continued. "You may begin at the start of the cannon!"
The cannon went off and the champions dived into the water, Harry being pushed by Moody. Cassandra felt herself grow gills and it scared her. She breathed in and she realized that she was basically a fish now. Her hands and feet became webbed which helped her propel through the water.
She grabbed Harry's hand since they were supposed to be helping each other. Harry let go of Cassandra's hand and leapt out of the water, doing a flip to impress everyone. Cassandra rolled her eyes and started moving on.
Harry met up with Cassandra and the two faced many struggles. Fleur had faced the most struggles out of all the champions. She was attacked by the grindylows. Cassandra and Harry made it to where their treasures were hidden. Cedric was already there and he was untying Cho Chang.
Cassandra felt a little burst of jealousy ping in her chest. She should've been Cedric's treasure but she assumed that the teachers didn't know they were dating and since Cho was Cedric's date for the Yule Ball, they chose Cho.
Hermione was there along with Ron and Fleur's sister. Harry took Ron and motioned for Cassandra to get Fleur's sister. Cassandra went to go untie Gabrielle and took the girl in her arms.
Harry and Cassandra floated to the surface, going onto the deck. Gabrielle woke and gave Cassandra a hug. Ron was so confused and just stared at Cassandra and Harry.

"Final results are in!" Crouch said. "Cedric Diggory and Harry and Cassandra Potter tie for first place! Viktor Krum is in second place and Fleur Delacour is in third!"
Cedric walked up to Cassandra, wrapping his arms around her shoulders, warming her up. He seemed a little off to Cassandra.
"Cedric, what's wrong?" Cassandra asked.
"Nothing." Cedric replied. "Well, it's just that you and Harry are tied with me for first place. I don't know why it bothers me but it does. It's just you two are so much younger than I am, yet you're doing better. I just wanted to have the spotlight for once."
"We can't control how we're ranked Cedric." Cassandra said.
"Cassandra!" Jack Dawson called out.
"I'm sorry Cedric, I have to go. I love you."
"I love you too."
"What's up?" Cassandra asked.
"I have something to show you." Jack replied. "Well, actually tell you. I can't show you, there's too many people near."
"What?"
"We found Brooklyn Potter's owl."

Cassandra was so shocked. She wondered if Harry knew about Brooklyn. She was shocked to find out that Jack had found Brooklyn's owl. She learned that his name was Zeus.
Cassandra walked down to Jack Dawson's office as she has done many times in the past week. She knocked on his door and he told her to enter.
"Why are you seeing me today Cassandra?" Jack asked.
"Two reasons actually." Cassandra replied. "One, I need advice with my boyfriend. And two, I want to see the owl."
"Okay, let's do boyfriend advice first. What do you need help with?"
"We haven't talked since the second task finished. He was upset that Harry and I are tied with him. I don't understand why he would be upset. I don't know what to do about it either."
"Try talking to him about it." Jack replied. "He is a lot older so he should understand more than others. He should've been mature about it and not treat you that way."
"Show me the owl now."
Jack went into the back of his office and picked up the owl. He was beautiful.
