Legend Of The Moon Maiden

The date was January 28th, 2021. Stephanie Avery [Silent Voice], Ritsuko Fuyuma [Regret], and Mahime Fuyuma [Marionette] were eating lunch in the cafeteria. But Ritsuko wasn't really eating. She was reading a book instead.

Marionette: What you reading there, Ritsu?

Ritsuko showed the other 2 girls the title.

Silent Voice: "The Legend of the Moon Maiden?" Isn't that some silly fairy tale?

Regret: This is NOT some 'silly fairy tale'! The Moon Maiden exists in real life!

Marionette: Oh? And how do you know that?

Regret: Because 2 men saw him around a year and a half ago.

Silent Voice: What does this Moon Maiden do?

Regret: They have the power to grant any wish.

Marionette: Any wish, eh? That's cool.

Silent Voice: If you want your wishes to be granted, just rub a lamp and ask a genie.

Regret: Someone woke up on the wrong side of the bed.

Silent Voice: I just don't believe in this Moon Maiden stuff.

Marionette: What else does it say?

Regret: They only come out on the full moon. Hey, that's tonight!

Marionette: We'll be really lucky.

Regret: There's a little problem, however. You have to catch him first.

Silent Voice: Catch him? I bet that won't be a problem.

Regret: Maybe that's why he hasn't been seen in a year and a half. He's kinda fast.

???: Hey, guys.

Stephanie saw Isaiah Mencke [Immoral Memory].

Silent Voice: Hi, Isaiah. Come sit with us.

Isaiah did so. He saw the book.

Immoral Memory: The Moon Maiden?

Silent Voice: Don't tell me that you believe in that silly tale, too.

Immoral Memory: Well, I've heard some students talking about the full moon tonight. And that the Moon Maiden only comes out when there's a full moon.

Regret: Yeah.

Marionette: Well, I guess we'll have to find out tonight when they show up.

It was now nighttime, and Stephanie was watching the full moon from her bedroom window. She suddenly heard a knock from her door. It was Angelica d'Aglior [Agitation].

Agitation: Hi, Stephanie.

Silent Voice: Hi, Angie.

Agitation: It's beautiful, isn't it?

Silent Voice: You mean the moon? Yeah, I guess. Hey, have you heard about the legend of the Moon Maiden?

Agitation: The Moon Maiden?

Silent Voice: Yeah. Ritsu and Mari were talking about it at lunch today. I think it's just some silly tale.

Agitation: I don't know anything about a Moon Maiden. What do they do?

Silent Voice: Ritsu said that they can grant any wish.

Agitation: That's pretty neat. If you saw this Moon Maiden, what would you wish for?

Silent Voice: I don't know. What would YOU wish for?

Agitation: I'd wish for all of the coronavirus victims to be alive again.
