Chapter 1: Undercover

[Kurapika's POV]

Ever since I passed the Hunter Exam, I've been getting request by my boss on hunting some people down because of their disgusting doings. At this point I'm already getting used to the job, compared to the first time I had to keep an eye on the boss' daughter, Neon.

It was quite a sunny day in York New City. I head towards the cafe that Gon and the others brought me to. I honestly miss those idiots. I took a seat and ordered an ice coffee.

My phone's screen lit up and started buzzing. BOSS was calling me. I guess I'm getting assigned to another mission. I picked up the call waiting for the boss to give me orders.

"Oi Kurapika, where are you?" The boss said on the other line. I tell him the location of the cafe.

"There's something important we need to discuss but I'm too busy at the moment so I sent Melody down to drop the message." I could hear papers being crumpled in the background. Guess he has paper work to finish.

Few minutes later, Melody walks in. Once she spotted me, she walked towards my table and took the seat across me.

"Hey, Its been awhile hasn't it, how are ya?" Before I could even reply, she cuts me off.

"Anyways, down to the business. Remember that creepy guy we had to deal with when he started stalking Neon? He stole some very important documents from our boss and we have to retrieve them by this week." She took an envelope out of her bag and handed it over to me.

Inside were pictures of the target and papers of information about him. I suddenly see a nude picture of the target in his bathroom.

"What the hell is this?! Why the heck is this in here?" I whisper-screamed to Melody. I picked up the picture and held it with my two finger's as if it was a really dirty pair of underwear.

"I have no idea, the boss hired a private photographer to take these. What a weird guy haha." Melody shrugged it off while chuckling.

"The target is the owner of  XXX Night Club and will be there at 9 pm tonight. I need you to go undercover and retrieve the documents. The blue print to the building is in the envelope. I have important matters to attend to so I'll see you soon." Melody left the cafe and in a blink of an eye, she was gone.

I checked the time on my phone. There's still 6 hours till the operation.

In the meantime, I'll just have to come up with a plan. I can't use my Nen on this mission or else I'll be exposed as a licened hunter.

Melody sent me clothes to wear as a disguise but I dont think I'll be comfortable in these...

A wig, barrett, turtle neck sweater, jeans, and high heeled boots. oh boy....

I changed into the outfit and struggled to walk to the mirror with these high ass boots. How do girls manage to survive in these torture devices?!

My eyes widened at the sight of me wearing this disguise. Melody commanded me to wear at least a bit of makeup. I look like a total different person. I LOOK LIKE AN ACTUAL GIRL WTF. Except I don't have curves nor hips. I sent a mirror selfie to Melody. She replied in the speed of lightning.

"DAMN BOY. you be lookin like a snaCC. hopefully no one harasses you cuz you legit look like a girl ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)." is that supposed to be a compliment or in insult to my muscularity.

Melody picks me up and drives me to the XXX Night Club. We parked a few blocks away from the Club. Minutes later we see our target walk in with body guards surrounding him. I get out of the car and walk towards the line where people were waiting to get in. I got in the club and looked around. Every girl was wearing some skimpy outfit, so I stood out a bit from the others.

"Heeey baabyy~ How ya doing tonight?~" Suddenly i feel a rough hand sliding down my arm. ah, shit.

"F*ck off, bastard" I forcefully took his hand of me and flipped him off while walking away.

"Aww kitty is playing hard to get~" I hear the guy in the distance. tsk disgusting. I dust off my arm.

I finally found the door going to the office. Staff ONLY sign on the door and  I walk in only to bump into one of the body guards.

"What are you doing here, Missy?" The body guard raised an eyebrow in suspicion.

"Oh my bad~ I think I got lost. How clumsy of me, UWU~." I attempt to say in a cute voice. God, just kill me already. Im cringing so hard.

The bodyguard seemed to let his guard down and put on a grin. Oh well, i guess that dumbo fell for it.

"I think you got something on your face, sir" as I was about to reach to "take off" what ever was on his face, I punched him straight in the nose. He falls back and gets knocked out.

"Have a good night, sir." I walk past the body laying on the floor while chuckling.

I walk down the hallway looking for the office. Guards were roaming everywhere. I managed to sneak past the guards IN HEELS. Soon as I reach the door to the office, there was a big guard waiting at the door. His head was down so I went to check if he will see me. He didn't react when I flipped him off so I got into the office easily.

"Jeez, this place needs to have better security..." I think out loud.

I went through all the cabinets and drawers leaving no trace of theft. I wouldn't say it's theft if they stole it from us first. I finally found it! It was a folder with my boss' company logo stamped on it. I cleaned up everything so everything looks in place and jumped out the window.

I safely landed and went to find Melody's car. It seems like she left the area so I waited for her in a dark alley with my disguise outfit still on.

"Look what we have here~ It's the kitty from earlier." I turn to see the same drunk dude from earlier.
