Third person's POV

Kiyan and Janus looks at Dianne with a calm expression, believing that she can do it yet their breathing are tense for her opponent has unknown skills.

Elsa, Anastasia, and Wilhelmina had clammy hands, getting tense as if they're the ones in the duel. Erica crossed her arms, tapping a foot with impatience.

The older warriors observed closely, waiting for the one of them to make the first move.

Vantra held her staff as Dianne stepped sideways to circle her, Dianne stopped purposely and, without being noticed, put her foot before a loose stone then immediately kicked the stone towards the She-Elf!

Vantra's eyes slightly widened and dodged out of its way, Dianne rushed forward and made the first move - she sent series of slashes to Vantra, which the She-Elf is on the evasive maneuvers but didn't even break a sweat.

Haah! Dianne leaped forward with a stabbing move but Vantra leaped sideways, dodging the attack again. Dianne skidded to a halt, her rapier instantly covered with water, she turned towards Vantra again and did the multiple stab move, her stabs leaving blue streaks of afterimage!

Should it hit her then Vantra's body would be full of holes!

Vantra, this time, leaped back from Dianne's attack Not a bad move. Dianne is not yet done, she swung her rapier multiple times that a number of blade-shaped shockwaves of water rushed towards Vantra. The She-Elf merely smirked, she made one swing of her staff in front of her Efriit!

A horned, long-clawed beast wreathed with fire appeared from a shining spell insignia and stopped the attack easily on its tracks!

Not only Dianne is surprised but the others as well, almost speechless! Axel broke the silence She summoned some kind of fiery beast! Anastasia mumbled So this is what a summoner is like! She asked Wilhelmina Can you do that? Wilhelmina shook her head No, it's my first time seeing this kind of magician.

Vantra said, her summon floating beside her You seem shocked, where did your bravado go? Dianne regained her composure I'm not yet done! Dianne ran forward, her rapier glowing blue If this creature is made of fire, dousing it with water is the best move! Vantra pointed her staff at Dianne and the beast headed for her as well.

The beast's claws and Dianne's rapier clashed - Dianne is pushed back by force but the creature still followed after her, she narrowly dodged its attack with agile movements, scarring the ground whenever it missed Dianne. She leaped away again to get some distance but still relentlessly followed. It made a heavy, downward swing that Dianne evaded backwards by flipping twice, the ground got destroyed when its swing missed!

As Dianne skidded to a halt, she quickly sheathed her sword then gathered mana between the gaps of her fingers on both hands - four water throwing stars appeared and threw them at the creature! They pierced the body but it didn't even flinch. It growled, the water shurikens evaporating due to its body heat.

Vantra said with a smirk, her summon returned to her side and floating A mere water like that can't hurt the Efriit, and a mere water-playing swordsman like you can't even scratch it. Dianne gritted her teeth with a close mouth I didn't expect this kind of opponent! She looks at the creature beside her then at Stein Okay, applying assassin lesson one. She said I didn't expect you to summon something like that, no wonder Miss Valien calls you a summoner. Can you tell me something about it?

Vantra said with air Interested in my summon now, aren't you? All I can tell you is that this summon is the Efriit, a spiritual creature born with the flames of darkness. Sylvia thought dryly for she observed its horns and sickle-like claws No matter how I look at that creature, it's basically a demon.
