I woke up the next morning to some noise coming from downstairs. I looked at my clock and it was one o’clock in the afternoon. I got out of bed and slowly made my way downstairs. When I turned the corner to the kitchen, I saw a very familiar blonde head. “What are you doing?” I asked, crossing my arms. “You’re moving?”

“Yeah I am.” I responded. “Well if you don’t get started on the packing you wont be out of this place until next month.”

I ran over to Riley and gave her a big hug. I know it was only one day that I hadn’t seen her, but I wasn’t used to not having my best friend around and I missed her. “Where did you get here?” I asked. She looked at the clock to check the time. “About half an hour ago.” she guessed. She returned to packing dishes while I got some food.

“Have you heard from them?” I asked. Riley hesitated a bit before wrapping a plate in newspaper and placing it in a box. “Lou kept calling until I answered him. He thought something happened to us.” She said. “I’ve got messages from Liam and Zayn too. Not from Harry or Niall though. I wouldn’t have answered anyways.” She took a break from packing and sat with me. “Have you?” I nodded. I had gotten messages from all five of them. I just wasn’t strong enough to answer them.

I’d feel so guilty. The messages were probably sitting on my phone still. I hadn’t even bothered to listen to them. “Who?” Riley asked, playing with her fingers. “All five.” I responded. I watched her face fall. I knew she wanted to hear from Harry. I really wanted to talk to Niall, but I knew I’d be heart broken if I did. I couldn’t do that to myself. I didn’t want to listen to his bullshit. “So, I figured we could pack up the kitchen, bathroom and living room today. And do the bedrooms tomorrow.” Riley suggested, changing the subject. I nodded; finished up the bagel I was eating, and got to work.

It was about nine at night when we finally finished the kitchen, bathroom and living room. “That’s the last for today.” Riley said, putting the last box into my trunk. We both got in the car and drove off to my new place. “When’s your cousin coming?” I asked as I drove. Riley looked out the window and played with her fingers. Something her and Harry both did. “I think he’s coming around noon tomorrow.” She replied. I nodded but of course she didn’t see.

Once we pulled up to the tiny house, Riley smiled. “This is totally you.” She said, jumping out of the car. I got out and went to unlock the front door. I showed her around the place and I could tell she liked it. She even picked a room that would belong to her whenever she came down for a visit. “Nobody else is allowed in this room.” She smirked. I agreed and followed her back to the car. We each grabbed a box and carried them inside. “We’ll unpack tomorrow when everything’s here.” I called as I brought a big box to the bathroom. “Alright!” she replied from the kitchen.

There weren’t to many boxes, so we were back at our old place at about twenty after ten. “I’m actually so tired. I’m going to bed.” I yawned and made my way up the stairs. This could be the very last time I slept in this room. It was sad but exciting at the same time. I couldn’t wait to have a fresh start. Potential new job, new people, and a new place.

Everything was going to be great.

Today was the last day of packing. Hopefully. It was about eleven in the morning and I was pretty much done packing up my room. We had a moving truck come early and take all the bigger furniture like cabinets, beds, and couches. Riley and I had taken trips back and fourth to bring some of my things over and now we were working on her belongings. “What’s it like in Canada?” I asked while taping a box and writing Riley’s name on it. She laughed. “Well, they got a lot more sun then we do that’s for sure.” She replied. I sat and watched her stack a bunch of books and put them in a box. She picked up the journal Harry got her and just looked at it.

“Have you heard from them today?” She asked, placing the journal on the top of a closed box. “Nope.” I replied. I hadn’t heard from them once today which was strange. I usually got a million calls from them a day. Well, since we left I’ve gotten a million calls. I was thinking that maybe they had finally given up on us. Just like they did when they auditioned for The X Factor. Riley opened her mouth to speak but her phone interrupted her. “Hey!” She cheered. She listened to whoever was on the phone and smiled. “Okay, I’m on my way now.” She grabbed her purse from the floor and I followed her outside to the driveway. “I’ll see you later.” She said, getting into her car.

I watched her pull out of the driveway before I walked back inside. This is probable a good time to pack what I had left of my belongings. I made it up a few steps when the doorbell rang. I sighed and turned back around to go and open it. A tiny man with no hair stood in front of me holding a clipboard. “I have a moving truck for Riley.” He said. I looked at the driveway and saw a tiny moving truck sitting there. “Thanks.” I replied as he handed me the keys and walked off.

I decided to help Riley out and put some boxes in the truck for her. She had about four boxes done so I could put those in. I grabbed the fourth and final box and walked outside with it. As I made my way down the front steps, a familiar van pulled up and five boys slowly got out. I stopped in my tracks and looked at them for a moment before continuing to the truck and putting the box in.

Louis walked over and looked inside the truck. He noticed Riley’s name on the boxes and his face looked panicked. “Why is her stuff in boxes?” He asked. I looked around and saw panic and sadness on each of the boys’ faces. "She’s moving to Canada.” I told them. I watched Harry run into the apartment and heard him call her name. “Where is she?” He asked as soon as he came back outside.

“Airport.”
