"Keep your head in the game. Now get out there." Coach yelled at us to get moving.

I ran out to my spot and looked over at the boy's game. I couldn't see John because he also plays third base.

"Morgan, come on head in the game."

I looked back and got the ball throwing it back to first. They threw the ball to the couch. The catcher threw the ball down and now it's go time.

It's the last inning and we are up by two. Just three outs then, I can go to the game. The first pitch was thrown and the girl swung hitting the ball. The ball went to right field, but it was caught. Next batter swung and missed three times. Strikeout! One more out to go. The girl hit the ball and it went right to me. I ran up, grabbing the ball throwing it right to first for the out. Three outs! We ran right over to the dugout and started cheering. Now I can go over to the guy's game in just a couple of minutes.

"Great job ladies, there will be no practice tomorrow. So have a good night's rest and enjoy it."

"On three, Longhorns."

"One...two...three... Longhorns." We all yelled.

I went over and grabbed my gear. Kylie was standing next to me. Kylie and I have been best friends ever since we were little. She has brown and blonde curly hair while mine is brown.

"Going to the guy's game?" She smirked at me.

"Yea, John asked me to go."

"I guess I will go with you."

"Okay."

I walked over to my parents and gave my bag to my dad. Both of them gave me a hug.

"You ready?"

"Actually, I'm going to go over to the guy's game and get some ice cream after. Is that okay?"

"Yea, have fun."

"You did great today." Dad smiled giving me another hug.

"Thanks dad, I better get going. Love you guys."

"Love you too. Call if you need anything."

I turned and ran over to Kylie. We walked over the guy's game together. Lucky for us there was a spot open where we could sit down. John was on deck, and he looked over smiling at me. I smiled right back at him. Clay hit the ball and got a double out of it. Next John went up to the plate. He looks so good in his baseball pants. Kylie hit my arm and I looked at her. She was looking at me and smiling.

"You gave him my number didn't you?"

"Yea, are you mad?"

"No, I'm glad you did. We're going for ice cream after this."

"Awe."

"Stop."

I looked back at John watching him swing and hit the ball. The ball went flying to centerfield. It almost went over, but hit the fence and fell down. The fielders went out to get the ball. John just kept running he made it all the way to third. Everyone was standing up and cheering. Next batter went up to the plate. The pitcher threw the ball right behind the catcher and John took right off. He slid right into the dirt and the pitcher was right behind him.

"Safe." The umpire yelled.

Everyone started to cheer again. The batter got out though and the game was over. I waited for John to get out of the dugout. He came out of the dugout and walked right over to me. I smiled at him and he smiled back. He walked right up to me wrapping his arms around me, while I did the same to him.
