The break up

[Flashback]

20th December…

“Can you please remove the scarf from me eyes, Kyungsoo? I can’t see where we are going” Jongin asked. Kyungsoo smiled as he led his boyfriend inside the house.

“Don’t worry, Jongin, I’m not going to kidnap you.”

“I’m not afraid that you will kidnap me Kyungsoo, but I'm just wondering where we're going. You're going to give me a heart attack”

“I’m sure you’ll be surprised without receiving a heart attack.”

Kyungsoo heard Jongin taking a deep breath before nodding his head; he then followed Kyungsoo’s lead. After two minutes, Kyungsoo lead Jongin inside the room that he had prepared for his boyfriend. He smiled when he saw the result of what he had been working hard on.

“We're here,” Kyungsoo said with excitement.

“Can I remove the scarf now?” Jongin asked him.

“Sure, Jongin, let me help you,” Kyungsoo said and helped Jongin to remove the scarf from his eyes.

When the scarf was gone, Jongin opened his eyes slowly and saw that they were standing in the middle of candles that formed a heart shape. In front of them, there were candles that formed the sentence ‘Happy 4 year anniversary.’ He slowly looked down to Kyungsoo who smiled shyly at him.

“Happy anniversary, Jongin.”

But unlike what Kyungsoo expected, Jongin was looking at him with an expression that he really couldn't comprehend. His eyes looked sadder, even his hand that held Kyungsoo’s hand felt, for some odd reason, different than how they usually feel.

“Jongin..?”

“I’m sorry…”

“Why? Is something wrong?”

“We should break up, Kyungsoo…” Kyungsoo slowly raised his head up, looking at his boyfriend confusedly. He blinked as if he heard wrong, but he didn’t. Jongin’s voiced his statement clearly. Kyungsoo was scared like hell about the way Jongin looked at him right now.

“I don’t understand Jongin. Please tell me why…?”

“I’m sorry to say all of this… but I can’t, it’s not working anymore,” Jongin said as he avoided Kyungsoo’s eyes. Kyungsoo just looked at him without saying anything, and immediately tears gathered in the corners of his eyes.

 “Why, Jongin? We’ve been together for a long time, why now? Why isn’t it working?”

“I’m sorry…”

“No Jongin, I can’t… I’m begging you… if I’ve done something wrong then tell me, I will change all of it…” Kyungsoo held Jongin’s hands, trying to change his mind.

“No, you did nothing wrong… it's because of me”

“Because of what, Jongin? Please… I love you…don’t say anything like this.”

“Because… I don’t have feelings for you anymore,” Jongin said, words colder than ice water, and his eyes reflected the same emotion. Jongin took Kyungsoo's hands off his arm and walked away. Kyungsoo slowly fell down to the floor and allowed his tears to stream down his cheek.

The day that he thought was special…

The happiest day of his life…

And it ended with a broken heart…

 Please don’t leave me… Jongin…     

Kyungsoo slowly opened his eyes; it was a dream. A dream about the break up with his boyfriend. The most terrible dream ever. His face was wet because he was crying all night long. Kyungsoo closed his eyes while his right hand touched the left part of his chest. His heart was beating fast, and it was so painful.

How long must I wake up with this painful feeling..?
