Every day felt like the same routine. Wakeup, work, maybe a drink after, sleep, repeat. Being the head of the technology department had its ups and downs. Although you got to work remotely, you enjoyed the views and vibes from working in the office.

Working at headquarters in the massive skyscraper in Downtown New York was beautiful during all seasons. The huge floor to ceiling windows gave you a 180 view of the city. You mostly just kept to yourself besides a few friends/employees you've made in the department.

Being a female in a predominantly male field was tough. Even though you were their superior, you never got their respect when it came to working. There weren't too many females, but the ones you had in the department always stuck up for each other.

After a long day of work, you decided it was time to start to head home for the weekend. entering the elevator, pressing for the lobby, you were joined by a couple other employees from the company. They talked about going to the club or just grabbing drinks. You decided you were going to stop and grab a drink from the local bar.

"Two shots of tequila please!" you said over the music to the bartender. After arriving at the bar, you just wanted to relieve the stress of work with alcohol. He came back with your two shots. You thanked him with a smile and downed them immediately.

Out of the corner of your eyes, you notice someone approaching. As he reaches your side, he calls the bartender over with a wave. He turns to you, "Whats a beauty like you doing alone at a bar on a Friday night?" You have to look up to talk to him. Looking him in the face you notice he's beautiful. Bright blue eyes and dark hair that looked like silk. "Not many friends, plus just wanted some stress gone." you respond with a slight smile on your face.

"Well, I'm Vicrul." He reaches out to shake your hand. His hands are warm compared to yours. Caught up in the moment you almost forget to tell him your name. "Hello Vicrul, I'm Y/N" he smiles down to you still holding your hand, "Do you want to go dance?"

The bartender interrupts the conversation by asking for our order. "um just two more shots please" you say before turning back to Vicrul. "Yes I would like to go dance" as the bartender brings the shots over both you and Vicrul gulp them down.

Heading to the dancefloor, he leads the way right to the middle. The alcohol rushing through your veins as you jump, rock, and grind to the music with Vicrul. Every once in a while you would hear him mumble something into your ear. It sounded like just him humming and singing the music and the occasional "You're so beautiful"

Time seemed to pass fast as people started to leave the dancefloor to head home.

"It was nice meeting you Vicrul" you say pulling away from him for the last time tonight. "Wait, can I at least get your number?" Biting your lip and smiling, you willingly gave him your number. Waving at him before you walk through the door, he smiles back at you and waves.

Getting into your Uber and heading home all you could think about was him. As if he could read your thoughts, you received a text from an unknown number

'Hey, its Vicrul. I had a wonderful time with you tonight, maybe we can see each other again? Would dinner tomorrow be good?'

Quickly responding, 'I had fun too. Dinner tomorrow sounds wonderful.' Hitting send and putting your phone in your purse as your Uber arrived at your apartment complex. dragging your feet to the elevator you enter and press your floor number.

The doors open and you walk down the hall to your apartment. Opening the door, taking your shoes off, to lazy to shower, you go straight into the bedroom and plop onto the bed. burroring under the covers you feel your eyes becoming heavy.

Mind too active to sleep you lay awake thinking of everything that just happened. You weren't one for relationships, it had been too long since you were last were with someone. But they completely broke your heart.

Maybe Vicrul was different, maybe it was time to finally put yourself out there. Letting out a huff of air, you force yourself to stop thinking and slowly drift to sleep.
