HEATHER'S POV
It was Sunday. Hannah was leaving today. I was going to miss her but she was coming back with mom and dad in a couple months for opening night.
At the airport we said our goodbyes. Jack even showed up to say goodbye. They had become good friends over the past week. We stayed and watched her plane take off before heading home.
--------------
The next day was Monday. It was the first rehearsal. Jack had woken me up with the smell of pancakes and bacon. I went into the kitchen to find him flipping the pancakes in the pan. He smiled as I wrapped my arms around his waist.
"Hey." He said.
"Hey."
I watched him finish making breakfast. He put it on our plates and put them on the table before coming back over to me and pulling me into a kiss.
We pulled away and sat down to eat breakfast.
"Are you excited?" He asked after awhile.
"I don't know, I guess I'm excited but I'm also kind of nervous." I said.
He took my hand from across the table.
"Don't be nervous. You'll do great, I know it."
We finished breakfast and I went and took a shower before getting dressed in the outfit Hannah had picked out for me before she left.
I finished getting dressed and went over to my vanity and twisted my hair and clipped it back.
I gave Jack a quick kiss and went downstairs and outside to hail a cab.
---------------
I walked into the studio where I saw a few people sitting at a long table who I guessed were the director and the producers. There was two others people over by the piano who I guessed were the choreographer and the musical director. A bunch of the ensemble members were on the floor stretching. I noticed two girls in the corner by the window talking and I immediately recognized them from the cast list online. One of them was playing Audrey Hepburn and the other was playing Barbara Streisand."Hi." I said walking over to them.
They stopped their conversation and the one playing Audrey smiled at me.
"Hi! You must be Heather Adams. You're playing Marilyn Monroe right?"
I nodded. "Oh cool I'm Kelly Osburne. I'm playing Audrey Hepburn." She said shaking my hand. The other girl smiled and shook my hand too.
"It's nice to meet you Heather. I'm Ashley Bailey. I'm playing Barbra Streisand."
Ashley, Kelly, and I talked for awhile. They were so nice. I looked at the ensemble when I noticed a blonde girl glaring at me.
"Hey um who's that blonde girl in the pink shirt glaring at me?" I asked nodding my head towards the girl.
"Oh that's Lacey Teal. She's the director's best friend." Ashley said. "Apparently she tried out for Marilyn too but instead got in the ensemble. Don't let her get to you she wouldn't hurt you she's just not very nice."
The director called everyone over to the piano to begin. She welcomed us all and said because it was first rehearsal we were just going to work on full cast numbers today.
After five hours and a lunch break rehearsal was over. I said goodbye to Ashley and Kelly and headed home.
I got home and Jack was already there waiting for me on the couch reading a magazine.
I took the clip out of my hair and set it down on the table by the door before going over and sitting by him.
"How was it?" He asked.
"It was good the cast is super nice and I met these two nice girls Kelly and Ashley. Only person who I'm a little worried about is this girl Lacey but nothing has happened yet so, so far so good."
"See, I told you there was no need to be nervous." He said putting down the magazine.
"Fine you were right."
"Oh what was that?" He said playfully poking my side.
"I said you were right."
"I know." He said making me giggle.
He gently laid me on the couch while kissing me softly.
It was official. I loved this man.
