I don't know how to tell her. I've fancied her for quite a while now but I'm too nervous and don't have the needed courage to go up to her and tell her about how I feel... I sigh, looking out the window of my room, deep in thoughts. Maybe a present with a note? No.. How about a love letter? Ugh that wouldn't do either. I just wish I could tell her in person.. "Y/N!" Suddenly Portia's voice rings through my room, startling me greatly. I look away from the open window and face her, eyes furrowed. She sighs and starts to talk. "I've been knocking, even called you. What is it? Are you OK?" She sounds worried but I shake my head, a weak smile spreading on my face. "No it's just.. You know.." I've told her, since I felt like she's the only person I could confine in about such things. She helps a lot and having someone to talk to lifts a bit of the weight off of my shoulders. She crosses her arms and shakes her head at me. "You should just tell her! Nadia isn't the kind who would flip at you. You know that too." She tries to reason but I look at the ground beneath us. She sighs yet again and her next words make me look up at her. "The countess called for you by the way. Maybe now is the best time for you to finally confess your feelings! I for one totally ship it~" She sais with a wink my way which makes me smile. She somehow manages to lift my mood no matter what and no matter when. "I'll go, but don't expect too much, Kay? Where should I go anyway?" I tell her and she smiles kindly. "She told me to send you to the garden." I nod and make my way towards the door, but Portia grabs me by the shoulder and makes me stop. "What is it?" I ask, looking back over my shoulder in confusion. "Well I mean.. Don't you wanna change clothes? Nothing against your current style, rocking it," She finger guns me and I chuckle before she continues. "But you should probably dress, you know, a bit more elegantly?" She chooses her words carefully, which makes me wonder why. "Pasha is there something you're not telling me?" I ask and she smiles, crossing her arms. "Pff as if I'd tell you if I was. Now do as I said and change! I'll be outside the door." She sais and before I can ask her any more questions she leaves, closing the door behind her. I huff and start to look for something nice. Soon I'm standing in front of the mirror in a nice, f/c silk outfit, the fabric ending just above my elbows. I smile at my choise and walk out to Pasha, her smile as bright as mine once she sees me. "Wow boy. That's a nice one." She compliments me and we start walking towards the gardens. Once we reach Nadia I'm taken aback. She's sitting on a comfortable looking picnic blanket, set with fine dining. Fruits, tea and some snacks are arranged in the middle and she's sipping a tea just as we arrive. Her face seems to lit up at the sight of the two of us and she delightfully pats the space next to her. "Oh how wonderful, thank you Portia for bringing him here. Care to join me in such delightful weather?" She asks me and I feel my cheeks heat up a little bit, but I sit down next to her nonetheless. Portia bows and scurries off, saying she'll get us some more tea. "Thank you for your invitation." I tell her and she nods with a smile. "I thought that since I finally have some time to relax, who better to spend it with than my favorite magician? " She chuckles lightly and I nod, feeling very lucky that I get to spend time with her on an off day. Which she rarely has, considering all the work at the Palace, it must be really exhausting. She lifts the kettle and points to an empty cup. "Would you like some tea? It's chamomile." She humms and I nod, holding out the cup for her to pour some deliciously smelling tea into. We both smile as we lift the cups to out lips, letting the tasty drink enter our mouths. I humm in happiness. It tastes amazing, just like all of her teas do. But her presence makes it ten times the better. Soon I find myself strolling around the palace grounds with her, enjoying the now setting sun. Pasha never came back with the tea, I guess she wanted to leave the two of us alone. I smile to myself, mentally thanking her for this opportunity. We walk across a bridge and Nadia stops, leaning against the railing gracefully, looking up at the sunset. My gaze is fixed on her delicate face, but I soon turn it towards the setting sun so I don't seem like a creep. We stay like that for quite some time, enjoying the last sun rays on our skin. "So, there's actually been a reason I called you out here today." Nadia starts and I look at her, nodding for her to continue. I'm honestly not expecting anything big or special. Maybe she has a task? Or something is bothering her? "I wanted to tell you something Y/N.. It's been oh so bothersome trying to plan today and I want to get this off of my chest. Before I lose my composure." She sais and I furrow my brows at her in confusion. "I.. I fancy you, a lot more than just a friend Y/N. I've been meaning to tell you, but I didn't want to disrupt you in any way in case you felt weirded out because of my confession." She starts rambling, but I can't keep up with it. Her words echo in my head, my mind a haze. I feel the heat on my cheeks grow as the realisation of what she just said sinks in. My heart hammers rapidly against my chest, about to burst out and I feel my stomach twist with butterflies. Nadia's worried gaze shifts down to meet my eyes as I haven't said anything yet, not even replied. "Oh gods I shouldn't have said anything. I'm so sorry-" But her words are cut off as I lean in and kiss her out of the blue. The sun has now completely set and we're standing there in the moonlight, embracing each other with passion. As we let go to breath I see her flushed cheeks shimmer in the dark and her eyes search mine for a definite answer. I smile at her lovingly and speak up. "Oh dear, I've been thinking of ways to tell you about my true feelings, I just didn't know how. You utterly surprised me with today. I hope you don't regret what you told me." I say, holding her waist and stroking her cheek with my free hand. Her lips curl into a smile and she looks me deep into the eyes. "Of course not darling. I would never say things that are untrue, especially to you." We both chuckle at that and stay in each other's arms while watching the night sky contently. I hope this night never ends.
