Emily pov
Two month anniversary. What do I do? I was in the middle of a shop, freaking out. I had prepared a great meal for her. We were going to stay in and make chocolate cupcakes and then watch movies. Because that's how it all started. That blissful moment when I had done something reckless. Hanna had been questioning her sexuality, and so I helped her out.
And now look at us. She was on the other aisle, as I could see her head through the gaps in the shelves. She was focusing, her tongue sticking gently on to her bottom lip like it does when she concentrates. I sneaked around the aisle, and came up behind her. I wrapped my arms around her waist, and pressed my lips to her neck.
"Everything looks so edible here." I whispered as I bit her neck a little. She went still, and I knew it was working.
"Emily Fields, don't you dare start your sweet talk in the middle of a shop!" She cursed under her breath.
"What sweet talk? I was talking about the biscuits." I whispered innocently, and she chuckled.
"Sure you were, babe." She laughed, and I blew a raspberry on her neck.
Eventually, we got back to my house, and found Ali was gone. I sent her a quick text, and she told me she was with Jason and would be home at around 11 tonight. I smiled. This gave me the whole day for me and Hanna.
"So what do you want to do?" She asked, after I helped her unpack all of the shopping. I lifted her up on to the counter, and placed my hands on her legs.
"You want to make cupcakes?" I asked, in my sweetes voice. She laughed, and then nodded. We busied ourselves around the kitchen getting everything ready, and she began on the chocolate. Once it was gooey, I knew it was my cue.
I dipped three fingers into the chocolate, and then turned around to find her back to me. I silently chuckled to myself, and smeared it over her cheek from behind. She gasped, and then turned to look at me. She got a marshmallow from the open packet, and threw it at me. I caught it in my mouth, and gave her a wicked smirk.
"Ugh, you're such a bitch!" She yelled, jokingly, and then began wrestling me into the living room. We collapsed on the sofa, and then I looked her right in the eye.
"You got chocolate on your ass." I remember saying this to her so long ago. The day of our first kiss. She smiled, and I knew she had caught on. She stuck her middle finger up at me, again, and then looked me in the eye.
"Am I your type?" So she did remember.
"Definitely not." I smirked, and she faked a hurt gasp. She walked off upstairs, sassily shaking her hips as she walked out. I knew exactly where this was going. So I followed her up to my room, and opened the door which she had closed behind her.
But what I wasn't expecting was the rose petals spread around, or the candles that were giving off their warm light and perfect scents. Or Hanna to be stood in the middle of it all.
"You're not the only one who wanted to do something big, babe. So come here and give me our first kiss all over again." She motioned for me to come towards her, and so I did. I closed the space between me and this beautiful blonde, and I took her face in my hands and kissed her.
I kissed her for all the times I ever wanted to. I kissed her for all the years she had stuck by me. I kissed her for all the hugs, and all the helpful advice. I kissed her for the good times and the bad. I kissed her for all the pain she went through, and all the pain I did too. I kissed her because over the course of a few years, I had been confused as to what I wanted.
But stood in my room, my lips against those of my girlfriend, the rose petals around our feet and the aroma of the candles hanging in the air, I knew what I wanted. And right now I wanted to spend forever with the girl I get to call mine.
And I wouldn't mind that.
