When they left the storage room, the door closed with a loud bang that echoed through the gallery. The guards were all anxious, running up and down. Some used the stairs, others used the floating bowls, all were battle-ready with their weapons in hand.

"What's going on?" asked Jorge, with a surprised expression on his face.

"Let's go!" said Aldrich, looking quite frightened. "Whatever is happening, I'm sure it's not good."

"Wait! Wouldn't it be better if we stayed inside the storage area?" asked Laura, holding Johnny's hand.

They heard an enormous blast and felt the ground quake beneath them. "Did you feel that?" asked Laura, frightened.

Sirens began to wail all around them.

Red emergency lighting soon filled the entire underground gallery.

"Go for the exit!" yelled Aldrich, pointing to one of the floating bowls. "We're not going to sit here and wait to find out what's happening!"

Garley had all his attention directed to the increasing noise as they boarded and headed up. He was terrified. Automatically, he reached for his sword on his belt, but soon remembered he had left it in the security storage upstairs.

Once they reached the platform, they went straight through a half- open door.

Garley felt his hands shaking and followed along with the others behind Johnny, who was protecting himself with a shield he had taken from his storage unit. He also held an orange jar in his hand.

They were still far from the lobby.

"What's happening?" Laura asked the two guards that ran by them.

"Wait here," replied one of them. He wore silver armor and wielded a long sword. "It looks like a robbery attempt."

They all heard the loud thuuk of something heavy falling to the ground. They felt it as well. Shards of glass flew everywhere.

"It's going to collapse!" yelled Jorge." We have to get out of here!"

"Staying doesn't seem like a good idea. Let's get out of here," yelled Aldrich.

"You cannot get out of here! You must go back to the storage area," yelled one of the guards.

Suddenly, a man appeared in front of them. He was wearing a black overcoat. He was holding in one of his hands what Garley thought was a weapon. It was made of wood, lustrous, and had a stone shining black at the end.

More guards armed with bows appeared. They pointed their weapons towards the intruder.

"Drop the staff!" yelled one of them. "Now!"

He didn't obey. Instead, he aimed his staff towards them. The guards loosed their arrows, which the intruder blocked in one swift motion, sending the arrows to the wall.

Garley couldn't believe his eyes. A wizard was fightiug the guards! The wizard once again pointed his staff , and it shot a sphere of red energy. Only one of the guards was left standing, protected behind his shield.
