(Yes, this is Lius point of view!)
Tov= Trintiy Of Victims
☆~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~☆The air was cold, freezing even, it just felt bitter like even the oxygen I breathed had something missing, as if the air around us felt the burdens we do heavier than before.
Then again; I'm overthinking, I always have and that's something that's seemingly my prison, it's done more damage than anything though.
The air even smelt abnormal, as if someone had been burning wood leaving the smoke to intoxicate the surroundings.
Actually...that smell is familiar, god I can't pin it down.
Sighing, I adjusted my waistcoat jacket by making some sort of shrugging motion as I strode through the damp forests. The rain had only drew to a close a few hours beforehand.
"Yo' Woods!"
Jumping, alerted by the sudden cocky yelling, I felt my left eye twitch- a sign that Sully had his guard up, and groaned.
"Hey, Rodgers." I chuckled spinning around to face her as her translucent form returned to her phantom one, the source of the smoke coming directly from the lit cigarette.
She'd been laid down on a tree branch one leg swinging over the wood.
"Whatcha doin' outside the hut?" She quiered suspiciously slumping down and onto the floor with a quick succession.
"Should I be saying the same to you, boss?"
To be honest, I wanted to go for a walk, nothing less nothing more.
She tutted at me taking another puff of her cigar in disappointment.
"You take me for a fool, Woods, what are you really out for? You're an introvert for Christs sake!"
I just rolled my eyes laughing nervously as I fiddled with my dark purple and blue contrasted scarf. Though; I wasn't hiding anything, Lyra had always intimated me to be honest.
"I was just missing her, y'know? Wanted to get some fresh air to get it off my chest."
She raised an eyebrow approaching me with both confusion and sympathy- before resting an arm on my shoulder.
"Did you forget your brothers gender or?..."
Almost immediately I heated up with embarrassment, fudge I forgot to tell her who she was!
"NO! NO! NO! It's not Jeff!" I stammered, though I was unsure of why I was so...stuttery? Is that even a word? Oh fuck it.
Lyra rolled her eyes not in sarcasm almost as if she was unable to think of anything smart to say.
"Alright, Woods I'll giv-"
Rustle. Rustle.
North from where we were standing, the bushes were moving in quite an unusual way, a way that automatically alerted me to pay attention to the situation.
Lyra swung her bat around her fingers as if she was ready to swoop down and kill whatever or whoever that was like an owl would with a mouse.
Hesitantly, I raised my right arm as a barrier almost to precaution her to stay back.
"I'll sort this out, Boss, you'll startle them."
"Whatever ya' say, kid, let me know whats there will you?"
Nodding, I headed over to the source of the noise trying to regather my confidence
Shaking my head, I kicked the grass, I was just bored and wanted to entertain myself, knowing it was just a noise.
Though...I didn't hit the grass.
I heard a whimpering sound from below me making me flinch backwards in pure shock and fear.
The figure rose up I could practically see the now clear female shake, eyes widened, "W-who?.."
As my emerald eyes focused on the young woman, if I'd drunk something I definitely would've done a spit take, it was her. My girlfriend, the one who'd supposedly died. The very girl that I'd grieved for years now.
Holy fucking shit. Is that Vailly!?
I nodded, as if that said anything to my alter, before kneeling down infront of Vailly looking into the only eye that wasn't covered by her hair; that being the chocolate brown one, her raven hair covered the ocean blue one.
"Liu.." she meekly whispered pushing herself up onto her knees tilting her head.
"Vailly?" I smiled weakly holding back my own tears.
She automatically quivered and launched her arms around me embracing me in a hug as she began sobbing, she'd just let it all out onto my shoulder as I stared into the distance in shock.
Shyly, I wrapped my arms around her two toned sweater as well rubbing her back as a source of comfort, neither of us said much. Anything even.
How long had it been? 3? 4 years even? I'm not too sure myself, I just knew that I missed her, dearly.
"It's okay.." I whispered releasing myself from her grip gently.
"Y-You're alive?" She questioned looking away, avoiding eye contact.
Grinning, I attempted a quick joke, "Nope, you're totally taking to a zombie."
Vailly rolled her eyes giggling finally looking up at me, "You're never serious are you?"
"Nah." I smirked standing myself up offering a hand which she accepted so we were both stood face to face.
Suddenly, I felt a pair of hands on my shoulder as I froze up with both uncertainty and unease.
"Who's this, Woods?" The blonde grinned a sparkle in her eye, she'd loved making couples out of random people it was like her occupation. She could write a book on it, an ultimate fangirl, frankly.
"Before you even try, she's technically my girlfriend. Though she'd been missing way before my incident happened."
Lyra frowned looking her up and down, as did I, I hadn't really looked.
Her raven hair was matted and tangled up with twigs and leaves, blood was splattered mainly from the left eye that was covered up, though it seemed to be glowing? Her mascara was all run down with tears.
Vailly wore a black and grey sweater, navy skirt, knee high white socks and black 'n' white chucks, all dirt and aged.
"What's under the fringe, girly?" Boss asked firmly.
Vailly shivered and revealed the covered eye sheepishly, it was completely black with a floating blue pupil.
I gasped stupidly enough, "Oh my god... d-did.."
"He did..." she whispered I could practically see the tears brewing in her eyes as she hugged herself tightly.
Lyra was confused but seeing my reaction she placed a comforting hand on her shoulder.
"Come on; let's get you patched up."
