Chapter one: name-calling

As 13-year old Venicia Yubeta walked out of the school doors, she met up with her friends, Jordan and amari, around the corner in front of the high school. "Hey, Venicia." Said amari, waving. "Oh, yeah, Venicia, are you going trick-or-treating this year?" Asked Jordan. "Yep." Said Venicia, adjusting her backpack to stay in correct position. "But where, though?" Asked amari. "Um... coxsackie, obviously." Said Venicia. As the three girls were walking down to the school crosswalk, trouble was near. "Well, look who it is! If it isn't the black cat who crossed my path!" Scolded leyla, with her 2 other gang girls behind her, forming a triangle. "Oh, hey leyla." Said Venicia, waving her glove-covered hand slowly at leyla. Leyla walked towards Venicia, looking like she was going to yell in her face. "What?" Asked Venicia, annoyed. "I was just studying your face, bitch!" Scolded leyla, backing away with her arms crossed. "Hey! What did you just call her?!" Yelled Jordan. "Jordan, stop! Just get over it already!" Yelled amari. "A bitch, eh? Well, look who's talking, big mouth!" Yelled Venicia. Leyla and her trio girlfriends backed away at that point, one of them crossing their arms nodding her head 'no', with the other girl also crossing her arms, but with a disgusted look on her face. Leyla purposely made it look like she was gonna cry, but then she turned to the girls. "Come on, let's leave those pussy-lickers alone." Said leyla, walking off with the girls towards the parking lot. "Hey!" Yelled Jordan, even more in a rage than before. "Jordan, enough. Just get over it." Said amari, pulling Jordan from trying to 'attack' the girls. "You know what's going to be even worse than what we're suffering right now with the name-calling? Seeing those bitches while going trick-or-treating tonight." Said Venicia, looking disappointed. "Oh, no. Let's just hope that doesn't happen." Said amari, nodding her head 'no'. "Well, they're probably not going to see me, anyway. They saw my costume; it's all black! They're never gonna see me at night, especially in the shadows." Said Venicia, smiling a little. "Yeah, actually, what is your Halloween costume?" Asked Jordan. "Isn't it obvious?" Asked Venicia, doing different poses that her costume's personality would do. "Come on, Jordan. She's cartoon cat from creepypasta." Said amari, annoyed. "Oh, yeah! I forgot about him, until you mentioned him!" Said Jordan.
