Acclaimed author Kate Marchant (ToastedBagels) who's book Float is soon to be adapted into a movie has gifted us her other star book called the Whistleblower. She has set a standard difficult to surpass for any writer.
You cannot go wrong with the classic hate-to-love trope and author Kate has delivered with this Romance about a student journalist and the Quarterback.
Not only is the language on point with irresistible humour and dialogues but the characters have been moulded into actual people that you might mistake for real. She is an actual craftsman. Kudos!
The book shines light on important themes such as Believing Assault survivors, Male Privilege and Collegiate life.
The romance is the slow-burn type which is exactly the kind that sets me on edge and I honestly couldn't keep the book (ahem, phone) down. The book I would urge anyone and everyone to read it before the book gets published in 2021 when it might not be available for free then.
Let me know if you have read it and what you think of it!
