we were all created equal in the hands of god
but the truth is we aren't equal
the truth is we aren't

the truth lies within you tagging chains of hashtags without recognizing the chains of slavery
you don't recognize protestors' right to demand
recast their demands as an agenda
reframe their story as an Instagram caption
you think that speaking out is the click click click of Instagram instead of the safety click clicking off an officer's gun
until those guns cause Instagram to flood with posts that say
justice for ahmaud
justice for mubarak
justice for breonna
justice for george
justice
justice
justice
except there never is any justice because
your good intentions are not good enough
