After defeating Larxene, Halios and I journeyed to a world called the Meeting Ground, where he and his friend Selena had trained to become Keyblade Wielders.  All of the Keyblade Wielders I had met throughout my life; Sora, Riku, King Mickey, even Axel and Naminé, had formed a council of Keyblade Wielders and ruled over this world.  Halios introduced me to Selena and the three of us became fast friends, deciding to head over to the mountain on the world to hang out together for a while.

It was there that we found a whole other world within the Meeting Ground, called the Aether.  Time didn't flow within the Aether--everything around us in the Meeting Ground was at a complete standstill.  While there, we discovered that the Organization had invaded the Aether and were taking on the Keyblade Council.  As they were frozen in time from our perspective, there was no way we could help them.  We were trapped in the Aether.  That's when we met a man who called himself Kaijai.  Kaijai was the manifestation of the memories of a young Master Xehanort who had travelled far into the future to meet with multiple versions of himself in a plot against Sora and the other Keyblade Wielders.

Kaijai battled us, not knowing what to do with his life and so choosing to follow in the original Master Xehanort's footsteps. Between Halios, Selena, and I, we defeated him.  Halios and Selena's hearts fused together while battling, and they became an entity known as X, the X-Blade's chosen wielder from the ancient Keyblade War.  As destiny would have it, X's heart was split in two at the end of the war--half Light, half Darkness.  The Darkness of X's heart made it's way into Halios' heart, and the Light part into Selena's.  When the two battled together, X's heart was reformed, and he used his legendary X-Blade to defeat Kaijai.

After the battle, we were able to calm Kaijai and convince him to join us instead of following Master Xehanort's dark path.  However, thanks to X's power, someone else had joined us in the Aether.  His name was Hyperian, a young boy who had lived during the Keyblade War and had been sealed within the X-Blade before its destruction.  When Kaijai was struck with the X-Blade, Hyperian was brought out.

When Halios realized that time had moved forward during our battle with Kaijai, and the Organization had taken the members of the Keyblade Council hostage, Xemnas appeared from within Halios' heart to take him over using his anger and panic, lashing out at Kaijai.  Selena screamed, which must have triggered something in Halios, knocking him unconscious.  From there, Kaijai was able to use some of his powers to free Halios of Xemnas' grip.  That's when Halios told us about X, the man whom he had met while battling Xemnas inside his own heart.  He and Selena combined their powers, transforming into X, and allowing us to exit the Aether.  After that, Halios and Selena passed out from exhaustion.
