Adopted by Noah and Dixie

Intro

So it's just turned 6:45 and Asher still hasn't had any sleep there was thunder all night and it just kept him up and scared. He held his nubs (dummy)as he would call it in on hand and his elephant scrapper in the other one. Then he went in the shower and put on this:

He only had to out fits and one pair of shoes and yes he does shower and change by himself as he has learnt to do it himself the people who work there hate him and don't feed him so he's extremely skinny and can't ever keep food down.
Noahs pov
I got up at 8:00 and left Dixie sleep for a little I got out of bed and went to shower I finished and put this on:

Then I went and woke Dixie up and let her get ready while I went down stairs and made breakfast as we are going to be adopting a child, we've wanted this forever and today is finally the day. I wanted a girl but Dixie wants a boy so of course for my queen we are getting a boy. Once we had breakfast we said bye to everyone and left in the car.
Authors pov
Asher got called to line up as people were coming to choose who to adopt he was at the back of everyone covered like he wasn't even there as he was so small, oh and don't forget he still had his nubs and elephant scrapper. Then suddenly the whole room went quite meaning the people who were adopting just came here he started to get scared as he heard the door open he stood there quietly hoping no one would see him. After 20 mins of people coming in and out the people called ages 3-5 to come to the main room so He walked slowly towards the room holding scrapper by his leg. Once He reached the main room the staff coughed making him look up to see a man who was really tall and looked around his early 20s and the girl too but she was skinny and pretty but he still backed up getting nervous
N: hey there kiddo
Noah crouched down to his level hoping that would make the boy feel better but it didn't
D: what's your name baby
Dixie then crouched with Noah next to her. Asher still didn't reply, he just stood there looking down fiddling with scrapper.
Staff: he is extremely rude I'm so sorry the lady said then out of no where she slaps his face and tells him to answer
A: I...I'm a..a..Asher
He said scared and starting to tear up
D: aw baby don't listen to that mean nasty lady you don't have to speak ok?
She said and Asher just nodded looking at her
Noah then yelled at the women for slapping Asher
N: let me tell you something,  don't you ever touch Asher again and I want to see his file now
As Noah yelled it made Asher jump and run to Dixie for protection
D: honey shhh it's ok Noah would never hurt you ok
He just nodded
D: Go pack your bags ash your coming up it's us
He looked at her and said really quietly
A: but you didn't look at my file
D: yep we will now so go get your stuff and we'll be here reading it and waiting ok sweetie
A: ok thank oo
D: don't just thank me Noah also said it
A: thanks Noah
Asher said quietly. Noah just smiled and said
N: go on just go pack your bags
Dixies pov
When Asher went upstairs me and Noah quickly spoke.
D: one Noah did you see how pale and skinny he was
N: ye and he had huge circles around his eyes like he hasn't even slept
D: yeah but when I picked him up he was stupidly light
Then as we were talking the staff person came with his file.
Noah read it out load
N: no wonder why he was so scared when I yelled at her he's scared of loud things and quick movements because they frighten him.
D: oh and there was thunder all last night so that's why he must've been up all night
Noah continues to read
N: he still has a dummy but he calls it nub and has his elephant called scrapper. There's more but that's just the main stuff.
D: ye ok. But why is he so skinny maybe they don't feed him enough here
N: yeah probably you saw how they tre-
As Noah was about to finish he saw Asher coming down the stairs so he quickly signed out the form and let Dixie do the rest
Authors pov
He went to see Asher
N: hey buddy you already to go
just nods and smiles asher feels quite safe with Noah and Dixie for some reason
N: you tired baby you look it
A: mmh
He just agreed to Noah showing his exhaustion by not even being capable of answering questions normally.
N: can I hold you
Noah ask sweetly to Asher making Asher smile and nod Noah smiles but then Asher stops him.
A: what about my stuff
N: it's ok we can handle it all I'm doing is carrying you I have another hand
He says smiling to him to comfort him. Asher smiles to Noah and puts his hands up indicating for Noah to pick him up. Asher was still holding scrapper and his dummy, Noah takes his dummy and puts it in his mouth and then starts to rub Asher back while swaying back and forth try to get Asher to fall asleep. Noah looked at what Dixie was doing and she was in the last part of signing the forms. Then he looked back at Asher and noticed Asher was falling asleep but trying to refuse it as he was still sitting up. Noah decided to just push Asher a head down to his shoulder and Asher didn't even refuse he just flopped and instantly closed his eyes. Dixie watched as Asher fell asleep straight away.
D: aw cute right let's go now
