Poppy was a pretty normal high school girl. She was pretty smart, and has average looks. The only thing she likes about her appearance, was her short brown hair. Her best friend, even when being a year younger than her, was around two inches taller than her.

Poppy woke up from her sleep to a triggering noise. She tuned off the beeping clock on her nightstand. That has always been an annoying sound, the high-pitched screeches reverberating in your head, even after you turn it off. She got up from her bed, her limbs stiff and heavy. Poppy was not a morning person. Never has been. With a glance at her bedroom clock she headed out of her room. The room was left empty, ticking noises bouncing at the walls every second.

After packing her backpack, Poppy headed out. She didn't bother with breakfast. She found no purpose in eating food so early in the morning. Plus, this will give her an appetite for lunch.

"HEY!!!! Hey!! POPPY!"

A tall, yet young girl came running towards Poppy, completely oblivious to any attention she might attract.

"Hey Larah, how are you?"

Poppy spoke in such a calm tone, it made Larah stop jumping around like she was on hot coal. Larah suddenly looked around. Her eyes had a mischievous glint in them. Whatever was going to happen, Poppy did not want any part in

Poppy looked around them, noticing how everyone saw them, but they quickly averted their eyes as soon as they met with Poppy's.

"I'm good... actually no!! I'm perfect!! Great even!"

Something was up. Poppy shifted from foot to foot, as if deep in thought. She does this often. Larah definitely knew that. Poppy always looks deep in thought. It was kind of... depressing. As if she was so done with the outside world, that she would rather just block herself out.

"Alright alright, what happened? Why are you so jumpy?"

"so , uh,, I- I didn't finish my homework" Larah said the last part so quickly it took a few seconds for Poppy to figure out what she said.

"Annndd, i wanna skip class" Poppy was worried. Larah was a troublemaker- yes, but she never went as far as skipping school. Poppy questioned it, but responded with a simple,

"Why are you telling me this?"

"Because Iwant you to skip with meee!" Larah stretched the 'au' in 'because'.

Poppy was confused. Since when were they the class clowns? She didn't want to get in trouble, but then again, it sounded kind of fun. Poppy debated the decision.

"Yeah, sure, okay, haha.... Ha" Poppy was legitimately nervous. She doesn't get good grades, yeah, but at least she doesn't skip school. But, even with the conflicts in her head, she went along with it. The bell rang through the court yard, signaling them to go to the dreadful place where their brains would soon to be fried. They speedily walked into the now empty halls of the school.
