........................................................................I sat on the couch as I watched my parents fight.... again. My father would scream things like "HE'S NOT MY SON LILA" or "YOU MADE HIM" or here's a good one "HAVING HIM WAS A MISTAKE", my mother would retort with things like "HE IS YOUR SON MARK" or "LEO IS NOT A MISTAKE"
If you couldn't already tell, I'm Leo, the apparent mistake as my father calls me. The fight was the same as usual, them yelling at each other as I sat and watched, wishing for it to stop.
"YOU KNOW WHAT, SINCE YOU LOVE THIS DISGRACE SO MUCH, WHY DON'T YOU KEEP HIM ALL TO YOURSELF" My father screamed at my mother pointing at me, I put my head down in shame "YOU KNOW WHAT, FINE LEAVE, WE DON'T NEED YOU" My mother screamed back. "FINE" and with that, my father walked out slamming the door behind him, my mother sat next to me with tears in her eyes and hugged me tight. I hugged back as she whispered things like "It's ok baby" and "I'm so so sorry"
I wasn't crying, but merely sad for my mother, seeing as she was sad. I sighed "it's alright mom, we'll get through this... together" I told her, putting on a soft smile "Yeah, together" she replied, still holding me close.
I wish it would have been like that, but a days passed, my mom got more and more depressed, eventually taking up a drinking habit. Her drinking habit was fine at first but as time went on, it got worst, there would be days where she'd come home drunk and tell me things like "this is all your fault" "Your a mistake" "I SHOULD HAVE ABORTED YOU" but I knew those words weren't true because the next day she would forget all about it.
One day as I was cleaning up the empty bottles from the night before, when I suddenly heard a thud. I slowly walked to the dining room and screamed.
There laid my mom, wrist all bloody with a bloody razor sitting next to her hand. I quickly ran to the house phone and dialed 911, explaining everything that happened.Police officers and investigators flooded the house as I stood in the corner shaking a bit. A officer walked up to me, and asked "Do you know anything that may have happened that led to this?" "We-well my parents used to get into bad fights all the time-" the officer nodded, signaling me to go on "and when-when my dad left, my m-mom inhabited a bad drinking habit and became very depressed" I finished telling him.
He only nodded, "that must of been it, do you have any Idea where your father is" I shook my head. "Hmm, any grandparents, other relatives?" I shook my head again. The officer looked deep in thought before saying "then I guess we'll have to send you to an orphanage, that alright kid?" I only nodded, not really wanting to go but I knew it was the only choice I had. I packed all my things and got inside the police car, watching as my house passed by. I watched other houses go by as we drove, eventually dozing off.I woke up to the officer shaking me "we're here kid" He told me, I let out a small 'ok' while rubbing my eyes. We walked inside to see a lady sitting at a desk, she fixed her glasses noticing us walk in. "Hello, please state your business here" She stated "I'm here to drop off this kid, he doesn't have any other family" the officer told the lady. The lady looked me up and down before saying "send him that way please, we'll get him all settled in" the officer tipped his hat "alright I'll be on my day you have a good day. I looked back at the lady "well go on now, shoo" she shooed me away with the flick of her hand.
'How rude' I thought, creeping over to the direction of where she told me to go. I popped my head in the see a bunch of boys all sitting on beds and talking.
As soon as they realized I was there, they all stopped what they were doing and stared. I sighed 'this should be fun.'
........................................................................
"Kids, it's time to go outside!" A women called for the kids. All the boys ran out of the room, some trampling on my bag purposely "Hey come man, don't step on my bag!" I growled "why don't you shut up, fag boy" one of the boys retorted. I sighed, I was used to being called that. The boys would always make fun of me for my blue hair or because I liked wearing skirts and dresses, but I didn't care what they thought I just wanted to get out of her as soon as possible.
I walked outside, the cold breeze blowing on my bare legs, I looked at all the other kids running around. I had to admit, it sucked being the only 14 year old here, all the other kids were either younger of slightly older then me.
I sat down on the grass, watching as the younger kids played tag or jump rope, suddenly two girls came up to me, the one looked around my age and the other a couple years younger. The put on sweet smiles and greeted me "Hi I'm lily and this here is katherine, I don't think we met before" "I'm leo" I muttered in response "What was that?" Lily asked "I'm leo" I said louder. "Well I Leo would you like to hang with us?" Lily asked, gesturing to her and Katherine. I smiled and nodded 'maybe this won't be that bad after all'A/n: Aaaalll done hope you enjoyed this chapter, I tried my best but I'm not that good of a writer sooo yeah
