I Walk outside. It's a sunny June day. I look at my phone and go to the location that's in my GPS. looking up at the house I arrive at I walk up to the door. I shouldn't keep him waiting. I knock on the door and surprisingly quickly Jaiden answers.
"Lexie, Come in," Jaiden mutters, gesturing for me to come inside of the house. He's acting differently. I can't blame him. I haven't told him much about myself and then out of nowhere, I stab myself. He's probably really stressed.
"Wait here I'll be right back." He then leaves and I'm left in the hallway.
It's nicely decorated. Under my feet, there's a fancy rug and on the wall, there's a clock. I turn around to find myself looking in a mirror once again. There I don't see the same person as usual. They are very similar to me but different. They have a huge grin on their face and their eyes are closed. I move a little to see if the mirror will copy me. It does. The person in the mirror then opens their eyes to show completely white eyes. No pupils and no Irises.
"Thank you." The figure in the mirror whispers. What the hell. Mirrors aren't supposed to talk. I jolt of fear goes threw my body and I back away from the mirror
Jaiden then comes back with a glass of what seems to be milk.
"Jaiden, I think your mirror is haunted or something."
"That's ridiculous, why would I believe that a mirror talked." He sneers. I never told him it talked, he must be pranking me.
"Yeah, that's just ridiculous," I admit scratching the back of my head. Jaiden then gestures, to follow him into a room. Of course, I follow close behind.
I walk into the room and the door is closed behind me. Nothing is said. Nothing but silence. The room is really dark. I look around for a light switch. Then suddenly the light turns on. There in the middle of the dimly lit room I see the same smile and eyes I saw in the mirror.
"This better not be a freaking prank Jaiden," I shout towards the door. The person in front of me is made up of very faded colors. They have really long hair and a long dress. They would look sad if it wasn't for the smile stapled across their face. I turn around and run towards the door. I trip and fall on my face. I scamper to get back up.
"Here." says a faintly familiar voice. The person holds their hand out to help me up. I grab their hand and start to remember things I don't want to remember.
"Mallory, It's nice to see you again," I said.
I had just opened the door leading to her house five years ago. I remember the look on her face when I actually arrived.
It's not that I don't want to remember this. It's just.
"I'm never going to get over her am I" I muter. I'm never gonna get better am I. I'm not gonna get better acting like this. Nothing will improve if I don't believe it can. I just have to look at things from a different perspective. Be more optimistic. Find more friends.
I look back up at the figure with a confused look on my face. Its smile is bigger than before. Why is it smiling? Wait what the hell is going on.
I slowly open my eyes. I'm in the hospital. It hasn't even been a full day yet. I'm still stuck in this place for 9 more days. I'm stuck with nobody but nurses and my mother. Though, she is acting a lot nicer. Honestly, I would have expected her to be mad at what I did. I no longer want to die, I just want to get better. I don't want to feel like a burden to my mom. I want friends who care for me. I want to be able to truly smile.
I check my phone for the time it's 5:00 and there is still no reply from Jaiden. What is Jaiden going to say about everything that happened? Is he going to be mad? Also, what was that dream about?
These thoughts, the only thing distracting me from the aching pain in my side. Fill my mind till I slowly drift back to sleep.
