CHAPTER FOURTEEN: What is happening?

I can't sleep last night, well of course my Mom scolded at me for running away again but I wasn't listening at her at all. I kept thinking the words that Granger said to me. Argh, this is his fault! Now I'm actually very sleepy right now and I can't focus to any of my studies. I was just sitting on this bench waiting for him to show up.

He wants to meet with me here and I actually don't know why I agreed to this, usually I'm late for meeting up with someone but I came very early for this. I sighed to just calm myself a bit. I closed my eyes for a bit since its been killing the heck out of me. When-"AHHH!". Someone just touched my shoulders that I quickly react and jump as high as I can.

I looked at the guy who was sneaking on me! It was Granger?! "What the hell-" "Excuse me, its your fault for sneaking on me!" Its literally unnecessary. "Fine, I'm sorry about that..".

Why does he look, hesitated. "Whatever, why did you hug-" he cut me off by pulling me into his arms. Again. I swear, like whats with the hugs?! I tried my best pushing him away but I failed.

"Whats wrong with you?!" I asked really confuse, first of all he just hugged me on Nana's birthday second, he hugged me last night and then now?! I'm freaking out right now. If someone saw me in this position- "I'm sorry, I just can't contro-nevermind, I'm sorry." he just keep apologizing to me and I said its okay, when its literally not.

He sat on the bench and put his hands on his head. There's definitely something wrong with him. I sat next to him, "Its fine..I guess but whats wrong with you?" I'm asking him, eagerly. He looked at me with a smile, a sad one.

Am I seeing Granger? Smiling? This is a rare sight, I need to keep it! I quickly took my camera from my pockets and took a photo of him. "What the-" "Shush, Seeing you smile is rare," saying this to him feels cliche to me, I don't even know why.

"I'll just tell you on the right time, by the way," he said making me look at him, waiting for his sentence. "Did you already have a partner?". Partner for what? Oh, right an event just posted the other day. "Its supposed to be him but he already has one.". I sounded very sad at this point. "Wanna be my partner?".

I looked at him as if he was serious. HE wants ME to be his partner?? I mean, all of my friends are already have one and I'm the only one left.. why do I felt alone again? This is just making me sad.

"Sure, I'll be your partner." I answered, assuring him. Maybe he's not that bad after all? "Now, explain with the hugs?" I asked him, I'm just very surprised about him giving me sudden hugs! Its just.. It felt weird.

"I just remember being alone again and I'm sorry for making it weird and uncomfortable for you.". He didn't hesitate about saying it. He was alone..? Oh, "You know, someone will always be there for you, right?" I asked him and look at him in the eye. He looked at me as well and we just stared for a long time. He sighed, "Right, but who even is?". He looked away and that made think.

Did I took it to harsh? Maybe I said something really off, yeah that must be it. I pat his shoulder, "You have Harith! Alucard! and of course someone will come and help you!". I just wanted to cheer him up! I sounded cheesy or something but I don't regret telling him.

He glared at me and smiled at me, a true smile that makes me confuse why am I feeling flustered. Its just a smile and I made him smile! I felt like I have achieve something!

I gave him a reassuring smile, "Alright we should rest our mouth forcing to smile!". Just making myself laugh. A silence just grew between us until we shared something that have us on common.

I may or may not just listen to their entire conversation. Alright, I was just about to use my sniper whoever was behind her but I did not expect it was Granger.

I'm really shocked that he JUST hugged her like that! I mean who wouldn't be so shock about a cold and rude guy have some soft side to her. Just amuse about this, especailly I'm looking like a stalker right now, just watching them not far from the bush I was hidding. I slowly get out of the bush and crawl for a bit but a feet stopped right in front of me.

I looked up and it was Gusion, Gosh, this is so embarrassing. I quickly pulled his hand down, "Shush, I'll explain it to you later." I said with an annoyed face. I turn my gaze at him, seeing him snickering.

"Pft, alright, whatever.". I can still see him snicker about me, I just face palm myself and continue to run away and hide before I get caught. I quickly went inside the building where I supposed to go and a tap on my shoulder, I look who it was.

"Mind explaining?" he said and crosses his arms looking down at me.

"Whatever, I change my mind." I excused and about to turn around but a grip on my wrist, stopped me. I turn my gaze at him again, glaring him to let go. He just put his straight face on him.

I sighed about myself getting in trouble, I looked away and started to explain earlier. His face is not what I was expecting, a shocked and a realived face at the same time disgust? I don't even wanna explain his expression anyways.

"I see, Well thanks for the info." he said smiling, and turn around, walking away.

I headed towards to our training grounds, normally I don't even know how to make things between this lesson. Once the time is over, I went back to the courtyard to feel relax by the sweet fresh air. Other people just chattering while me, doing something nonsense.

"Hey Lesley," I turn my gaze at the girl who called my name. "Oh whats up, Miya?" I asked her. "Well what do you think about the event so far?" she asked me back. "I guess I'm excited with the fact I'll be fighting against the corrupted village." I explained and let out a sigh.

Our conversation take a few minutes until our next class starts. I went back to the Assassin's building, looking for Nat and Sel, maybe a nickname can fit them?

"Lesley!" a guy's voice called me from behind, making me turn around. Seeing Gusion, panting from running to fast. I asked if why he was running but didn't bother to tell me why. "I need..to..talk to you about something personal." he said and grabs my wrist pulling me outside the from the building.

This was esculated too quickly for me to ask. He let go of my hand as he cornered me at the wall behind me. What the hell is he trying to do with me?

"Hey Hey, what all of this is about? We still have class." he didn't bother to answer mt question. I have a strange feeling about this and its making me nervous to think about it. He was just staring at me, looking straight to my eyes, as if it was looking through it.

He was nonstop sweating, it keeps dripping and dripping. I want to ask him again but my mouth won't speak a word.

"I-I know this is selfish to ask a huge favor from you..." he was hesitated of telling me next. Selfish? Is this from his family matters? Heck no, I don't even wanna intervene of some stranger.

"No...its not what you were thinking...I need you—". He leaned closer to me, letting his head rested to my shoulder.

He fainted...I..what is heppening..?
