imagine sitting on kenmas bed, next to him as he's playing a game on the tv that is just so conveniently placed at the end of the bed.

after many hours of playing games, talking, vibing and constantly checking your phone, you get a text from ur parents telling you to come home and you sigh loudly which causes kenma to look at you, pause the game and put the controller down.

you weren't close with your parents. you never really liked being at home. your siblings always made you feel annoying and worthless.
you always tried being away from home for as long as possible but you get scared that you might get yelled at if you stayed out too late.

he doesn't force you to tell him yet his calm trusting aura is what makes you tell him. of course he knows all the problems in your life as you trust him the most.

once you tell him, he takes a moment to think before asking if you want a hug or if you want him to walk home with you.
eventually you gave up on keeping the tears in and ended up crying into kenmas chest.

minutes go passed and your phone gets another text. once you've calmed down, you pull away from kenma and look down at your phone.
your hands were shaking, scared your parent messaged you again. scared that the message will sound like you're in trouble.

soon you give up and give in, standing up from kenmas bed. kenma was confused for a second before realizing. he decided to walk you home because hes worried something bad will happen.

you don't see him as someone you have a crush on, but a best friend who actually cares. you are glad he's the one who is your best friend.

once you reach your house, you turn to kenma and give him a hug. you're parents know about kenma. you're glad they do because you'd surely get yelled at if they saw you hugging some guy.

you tell him you'll text him later before cautiously walking into your house. kenma stared for a second before walking home, hoping nothing happens. he was worried. of course he was worried. you two are best friends. you've been through everything together.
