NANA
I dialed my aunt's number. My aunt was very young. She was only thirty years old. She was still single though, so she lived alone with her cat named Kitty. She named it Kitty only because she didn't know what to name her.
I am really close with my aunt even though she lived all the way across the world. We keep in touch by phone and I told her about everything. She offered to let me stay at her place and I accepted the offer.
"Moshi, moshi." She answered.
"It's Nana, I've arrived. Are you here yet?" I asked.
"Oh! I see you! I'm in a black car."
At that moment, I saw a black car drive beside me. The driver rolled down their window and I saw my aunt. She gave me a welcoming smile. I put my luggage in the trunk of her car and hopped inside her car.
"So how do you like Japan so far?" Yana, my aunt, asked. It was funny, because our first names were almost the same except that the first letter was different. "It's refreshing." I sighed and closed my eyes.
"Jet lag, huh?"
"Um."
The sun was shining at my face through the window. I rolled down the window and let the wind blow at my face. I took in the fresh scent of the air. I slightly opened my eyes. I saw all sorts of buildings in the city. I always wanted to come to Tokyo.
"We're here!" Yana exclaimed. She lived in a big apartment and she worked as a fashion designer. She unlocked her door and grinned at me, "Ready?"
I nodded and gave a slight smile. "Ta da!" Her arms flew in the air. I was amazed. The apartment was very large and was very beautiful. It looked elegant and it suited my taste very well.
"It's elegant in here."
"Seems like we have the same taste." Yana smiled and I smiled back at her. I rolled my luggage on the wooden floor. Yana guided me to my new bedroom. I walked in and immediately smelled the scent of vanilla which was my favorite. I looked at the white dresser beside the bed that had light blue floral covers on it. There was a vanilla scent candle lit.
I looked around the room and saw that it was perfect. The walls were painted a pastel blue which was my favorite color. "Do you like it?" My aunt asked. I smiled, "It's perfect."
Yana gave me a satisfied smile, "Well I'll let you unpack." She said and walked out the room. I sat on the ground and unzipped my suitcase. I put all of my clothes in the closet and the dressers. I put all my pictures with Leah on my black vanity. I took out one picture of my family and stared at it for a brief moment. I put it on the vanity put flipped it over, so the picture wasn't showing. The picture gave me pain, I didn't want to look at it anymore.
I put all my essentials on my vanity and in the bathroom that was also in my bedroom. I put my empty suitcase in my walk in closet. (A/N High class apartment, huh?)
At that moment, I heard a meow come from the door. I walked over to the door and opened it. Upon it, I saw a white fluffy kitten. "Hello, Kitty~" I knelt down beside it and she nuzzled against my legs. I smiled and pat her head. She enjoyed it very much.
"So you've finally met her." I looked up and saw Yana leaning against the door frame. I smiled, "She's so fluffy!" Then Kitty meowed as if she agreed with what I just said. I sighed at her cuteness and got up from the floor.
"I'm going to explore outside." I said. "Do you know the way back?" Yana asked worried. I nodded, "I have a good sense of direction."
Yana smiled, "Well go explore." I nodded and grabbed my phone. I walked outside of the apartment. It was currently 5:46pm. It was starting to get dark outside and it looked pretty as all the buildings were lit up.
I walked casually on the sidewalk looking at everything in front of me. I then spotted a public basketball court. I put my hands in my pockets and walked towards the basketball court. I saw no one was there and was glad, because I am bad with strangers.
There was a basketball lying down on the ground alone. I looked around to see if anyone was there. I closed my eyes as I remembered back then. I was on the basketball team with Leah. We were the best players on that team and we even won the championship last year.
I slowly opened my eyes. My eyes widened and I jolted back as I saw a mysterious blue haired boy in front of me.
"Ano.. That's my basketball." He spoke. I looked at him and then at the basketball that was in my hand. I bowed and handed it over to him. "G-gomen." I stuttered. Ugh, why do I have to be so shy! I mentally face palmed myself.
He gave me a slight smile, "Do you play?" He asked. I nodded. He seems like a very nice guy. Should I trust him?
"I need to go." I said with confidence. I think I will trust this mysterious blue haired boy.
He nodded and slightly waved. I nodded and walked off awkwardly. I sighed, "Why am I so awkward.." I mumbled to myself. I hated that part of me so much. I don't trust people a lot, but he seems someone trustworthy. I don't know why, but I want to see him again one day.
I finally arrived at the apartment. "How was it?" Yana immediately asked me as I walked in. I shut the door behind me, "Interesting." She tilted her head looking confused and raised a eyebrow.
"I met someone interesting."
