Godzilla's Despair

245 7 4

The shadowed shroud that cloaks my soul

Has broken me, I am not whole

A dark despair that they know not

Has caused my heart and mind to rot

There is no other just like me

Alone I sigh, no love to see

I fit no molds, I break them all

A fleshed immortal wrecking ball

I do not know why this is me

It shouldn't have been, it should not be

This underworld that dwells within

Estranged and lost without my kin

I hate the small ones for their gifts

Their parents, children, siblings, rifts

Have split the tattered soul remains

That shrivel in my burning veins

The cold is dark, the heat is bright

Atomic kisses bring no light

I am the point outside the line

On existential misery, I dine

I am he who does not belong

Alone, my restless breath drones on

To the small ones, take another prize

My anguish poured to your demise

The pretty world which you have paved

Is where I wonder why I was made

As ash becomes your atmosphere

And dark things from beyond revere

The void I wear, not even hope

Oh, who will know my downward slope?
