Hopeless Romance

Scene 1

At Button House, Alison is getting ready for the day, while she showers, dries her hair and puts on her makeup, Thomas is staring like he's gazed at her the entire time, when Alison is concluding her makeup she finally spots Thomas,

Alison: (jumps) "How long have you been standing there?"

Thomas: (stutters) "Oh not for too long"

Alison gives him a stern look,

Thomas: "Ok I've been here the entire time"

Alison: "You can't just stand there snooping on me, I need my privacy"

Thomas sighs and walks away.

*Theme*

Scene 2

In the common room, we can see the ghosts up to many various activities, first we can see Robin and Julian completing a game of chess where Robin takes a win which Julian isn't too pleased about,

Robin: (moving a piece) "Checkmate"

Julian: (chuckles) "Don't be ridiculous, that can't be a check... oh it is"

Robin jokes while rubbing his success in Julian's face,

Julian: "I can't wait till the day I beat you"

Julian stands up and strolls over to Kitty, Pat and Mary who are sat on the sofa uncomfortably watching The Captain and Lady Button debating regarding what kind of soup is the greatest,

The Captain: "Unmistakably pheasant soup is the best soup"

Lady Button: "Ohh I don't think so?"

The Captain: "Ok what is the best soup then?"

Lady Button: "Turtle soup is the best by far"

The Captain: (chuckles) "Who eats turtle soup?"

Lady Button: "Umm..."

The Captain: (disrupting) "Precisely, Patrick what do you consider is the best?"

Pat: (awkwardly) "This is a risky decision umm, I think I'm gonna have to go for the pheasant"

The Captain does a little celebration dance but then pulls himself back together,

The Captain: "What about you ladies?"

Kitty: "Sorry Captain I'm gonna have to go with Lady Button"

Mary: "Turtle soup all the way"

The Captain: (disbelief) "Ugh I don't believe this"

The Captain sits on the sofa then Lady Button joins him all thrilled with herself, then Pat stands up to face the ghosts on the sofa,

Pat: "So I think that's the result of food club..."

While Pat is bringing food club to an end, we scan over to Thomas who is sat on the window ledge feeling sorry for himself, then Robin spots him and attempts to talk to him,

Thomas: (sighs)

Robin: "Why Thomas miserable?"

Thomas: (unhappily) "I wish she knew my affection for her"

Robin: "Ah" (gets baffled) "Who?"

Thomas: (faintly) "Alison"

Robin: "Oh"

Pat paces over to Robin and Thomas being a bit intrusive,

Pat: (encouraging) "Everybody ok over here?"
