It was a stormy night. I mean I'm not the biggest fan of storms but I love watching the lightening. It's like mother natures art. Until it kills someone or catches something on fire........
Anyways Shawn is coming over later. (Your best friend) so I decided I would lightly curl my hair and put on some comfy clothes. I decided on a pair of pink sweats and a black tang top.

*texts*
S: Hey I'll be over in a few.

M: ok you know it's storming pretty bad I could come pick you up.

S: no it's cool I'll be fine. It's not raining that hard yet

M: ok hurry up

S: k see u later

I threw my phone on by bed and started blasting Something Big by of course Shawn.

About a minute into the song everything went black. I couldn't see and thing but a little strip of light from a street light outside my window. I carefully walked down stairs and got on to my phone.

*knock *knock

I jumped up and ran to the door. I grabbed my gun first which I always keep loaded. I aimed it towards the door as I inched it opened.

"Sweety it's just me!" Shawn yelled over the rain and thunder.

"Oh my god. You scared me don't ever do that again. I said smacking his arm jokingly.

"Are you okay I noticed your power is out." He said smiling just a tad.

"Really oh my god I never noticed my power went out. Even though I was watching tv." I said sarcastically and rolling my eyes. He walked passed me at up the stairs. " dude I ain't going up there just come to the living room there's no one home anyways."

He stopped walking and followed me to the couch. We talked about a few little things then I noticed he started to get nerves. I don't know why but it was just really cute. I mean I've been falling for him for the past year or so.

"Do you know how cute you are?" I asked him without even thinking. I quickly regretted it. He gave me a weird look but didn't say anything.

After a few awkward moments he finally said "Y/n, I.... Umm...... Uhh.... I uh.. Really..."

"Just spit it....." Before I could even finish my sentence I felt lips crash into mine. I was frozen for a moment then kissed back.

There was fireworks. I have never felt this before. His lips are so soft. We soon pull away to catch our breaths.

"I really like you. Would you be my girlfriend?" He said shyly I just nodded and hugged him. We stayed there for a while and just listen to the storm pass by. It was nearly over when the power came back on and we both fell asleep.
