"Jotaro and I can room together," Kakyoin suggested to Joseph, smiling politely to the hotel receptionist.
It made the most sense to him, seeing as they were both high school students, and Kakyoin would like to think of them as friends. Polnareff insisted something else was going on between them, but that usually resulted in a threat from Star Platinum. It was quite funny to Kakyoin, and he was glad it didn't make things awkward between the two.
"Here's your room key," Joseph sighed, tossing the key to Kakyoin,"And don't break anything this time."
The red head chuckled, recalling the events from the last time him and Jotaro had shared a room. They'd been attacked by an enemy stand, and though they were able to defeat it, the room was a complete disaster by the time it was taken care of. He nodded toward Joseph, giving him a thumbs up before turning and making his way to their room. Jotaro followed suite, not saying much as he followed his friend. Jotaro didn't think of them as anything more than friends as well, which made the whole 'rooming' situation a lot easier. He followed his friend closely, his hands digging into his deep jacket pockets, glancing around every now and then to make sure they were safe.
They reached their room quickly, Kakyoin unlocking the door with ease. He stepped inside and turned the light on, his eyes falling on the large space they'd been given. There were two beds, thank goodness. Not that having to sleep in the same bed as Jotaro would make it awkward, Kakyoin just knew Jotaro was a blanket hog. Of course, he knew from prior experience, waking up with goosebumps when he had to sleep in the same bed as him, turning over to discover that Jotaro had literally cocooned himself with the blankets.
Stepping inside, Kakyoin laid his luggage down by the door, and made his way into the room. He approached the middle of the room slowly, realizing they could never be too careful, seeing as they could be attacked at any moment. Jotaro shut the door as he entered, throwing his bag to the ground next to Kakyoin's. He slowly crept his way to the bathroom, opening the door quickly, Star Platinum appearing behind him, ready to protect his user if need be. There was nobody, though, and Jotaro let out a sigh of relief.
"All good." He grunted, turning to look at Kakyoin.
The red head smiled at him, giving him a cheery thumbs up,"Good here,"
Sighing thankfully, Jotaro watched Kakyoin plop down on the bed, and close his eyes. He looked...peaceful. Jotaro was grateful for moments like these, where him and his best friend (though he'd never tell anyone that) could just relax. Being attacked by stand users every ten minutes was getting tiresome, and honestly just pissed the two of them off. They both lavished in the down time they had, enjoying every second they got to just lay down, and rest their sore muscles. The both of them were in pretty rough shape, traveling every day and having to sleep in the desert for the past few nights made things worse. It'd been almost three days since either of them had taken a shower, so Jotaro opted for asking the question first. Or rather, suggesting what he was going to do.
"I'm taking a shower." He stated, raising an eyebrow, as if to ask if Kakyoin had planned on doing it before him.
Kakyoin only nodded his head and smiled. Jotaro sighed and picked up his bag, making his way to the bathroom as fast as he could. Shutting the door, he observed himself in the mirror, taking time to take in his dirty, disheveled hair, and the sand and dirt that stained his skin. Ew. Gross.
He turned on the shower, making the water as hot as possible. There was no way he was going to take a cold shower, the one time he actually had access to one. Taking off his jacket he sighed, his eyes raking over the multiple cuts that'd been put into the material. He'd have to pay for a new one. Well...he wouldn't pay for it. He'd probably end up making Joseph pay. It would be pocket change to him anyway, the man was filthy rich. He hung his jacket on the door knob, and took his hat off afterward. That was the thing he'd probably kill someone over. If they put a cut in his hat, or knocked it off of his head, he'd kill them. Without a doubt.
