Part 18

I took her hands by her palm, lifting her up, I couldn't bear to see her in that state, after the horrible thing her dad did to her.

I couldn't help but imagine how hurt she must have been all these while, she couldn't even open up to anyone, but she did with me.

I don't know what I can do... But what I know for sure is that I can't stay without doing anything. My voice must be heard!!

I walked her to the nurse office... To get her some pain killers, because she had been crying all day and who knows how long she had been crying all by herself.

When lessons were over, I told her she was welcome to stay over at my place anytime she feels like she needed to be around someone she could talk to.

I got home and met my mum... I hugged her... I haven't seen her nor my dad for weeks now... I was so happy to finally see her.

"Mum!", I screamed as I ran into her open arms. "How have you been honey? ", she asked me.

"Mum, where have you been, you didn't even bother to check up on me or even call me", I said looking down, sadly.

"My baby, I am so sorry, I would make it up to you okay?, mummy has been so busy", she said with one finger on my chin bringing my face up to look at her.

"Its no problem mum, i missed you so much, I missed you baking, everything", "mum?, could you cook for me tonight? ", I asked forming a puppy eyes for her.

She looked down to me, "oh sweetie, what am I here for then?, I am here for you my love, tell me whatever you want, I'll make it for you, you really don't have to ask, if its the least I can do to make it up to you baby", she answered.

We had waffles for diner, dad wasnt home but I had fun with my mum.

On going up, I heard mum say, "darling, I haven't been home for a while now, so we have a lot of girls time to ourselves",

I smiled at her, "sure mum".

I went upstairs to my room, contemplating on the matter at hand, liliths case, I wasn't sure if I should tell my mum about it, I really didn't want to bother her on this case, she already had alot on her plate
And I really don't want to add to her stress

I picked up my phone and dialed lilith's number, I wanted to check up on her, I just hope she isn't crying her head off.

"Hey li, how are you? ", I asked crossing my fingers, hoping to get a pleasant response.

"I am okay, how are you?", she asked across the phone, and I replied her pleasantly.

"Umm... I was thinking maybe we could hang out, if you are free tho... Let's take a walk around the neighborhood", I said.

"I would love to, let me freshen up, I'll meet you at your house, give me few minutes", I was so happy, so I quickly freshened up to wait for her.

I heared a knock on my door... Finally, Lilith was here, I ran down to meet her.

"Hey, how you doing? ", I gave her a pleasant hug. "I'm fine, so where are we heading to? ".

I grabbed my purse with me and yelled I was hanging out with Lilith to my mum who was still in the kitchen.

"So, how is it really going with you and Jason? ", Lilith asked all of a sudden.

"Well i like him, I'm not sure if he likes me tho, he said he isn't a relationship type of person... So I really don't know", I answered sincerely.

"He likes you, I am a hundred percent sure about it... He really likes you", Lilith said and I looked up to her,

"You think? ", I asked, "I don't think, I know", she assured me.

"Hey, let's get icecream... I have been craving it all day", I said while grabbing her wrist to cross the road.

We go the ice cream and sat at the bench on the road side, we kept discussing, and I asked her if she had a crush on anyone, said she wasn't interested in anyone.

Suddenly a man stood accross the road, smiling towards us, at first I didn't notice him, and when I did, I didn't really concentrate to know if it was us or someone else.

Just then I turned to Lilith, she was also staring at the man, looking very uncomfortable.

I turned and whispered to her ear, "umm... Do you know him? ", she couldnt turn, she just sat there saying nothing, still staring at the man.

"Lilith, what's wrong? ", I asked again, this time louder and shaking her.

She turned and faced me, "Its him", at first I was confused, who?

Just the it struck to me that he was the one who did the nasty thing to her.

I couldn't take it anymore, how dare he even have the guts to smile at her, after the terrible thing he did to her?

I stood up, I really wanted to confront him, but Lilith held me back, she shook her head, telling me not to do what I was about doing.

The man already left, but I made sure I pictured his face.

Lilith told me she was already heading home, I walked her home a turned back to my house.

I kept on thinking, if he really had the guts to smirk at her, that means she is in grave danger... Meaning he can do what he did to her again.

I have to do something about this before her life is being treathened by a heartless stranger. I really need to, and really quickly.
