The masked man led the two siblings, towards an extravagant mansion. The trees cleared slightly, but still circled the building that the masked man had told the two of them would be their new home. He promised them that. He lead them inside and towards an office with large doors. The doors swung open, granting them entry and as Blake and Hayley followed the masked man, a deep, but soothing voice was heard easily from the other side of the room.
"Is there a problem, Timothy?"
So that's his name, Hayley thought as she smiled a genuine smile that had not appeared on her face for as long as she can remember.

"I found these two running through the forest. When I say found... the smaller one crashed into me. It was like they were running from something." The masked man told his boss.

"Something's a tad bit of an understatement." Hayley muttered bitterly,
The tall man turned to face her, but she stood her ground.
"Would you like me to act scared, or are you just gonna stand and stare at me until Christmas?" Hayley said coldly, looking up at him. She heard a laugh from behind her and she rolled her eyes.
"I'm not scared. I just wish I could say the same for Blake." She said with a chuckle as her brother blushed profusely.
The masked man chuckled.
"Tim, guide them to their rooms, please." Slender said softly, trying to contain his laughter and remain professional. The masked man guided them to two, beautifully designed bedrooms and left them to settle in.
"I'm down the hall if you need me." He told them.

(Hayley's Bedroom)
They looked around in awe as they took in their surroundings. Their bedrooms were amazing! Hayley put away what little belongings she had and decided to go visit Masky.
She knocked softly on his door and he replied with a simple
"Come in."
She opened the door slightly.
"H-hey." She said quietly. The strong, tough demeanor was gone and in its place was a softer, lighter version of herself. She was acting strong in front of her brother...
"Is something wrong?" He asked tenderly. He cared deeply about the girl whom he had just met. He felt that he related to her.
He motioned for her to sit beside him and as she did, he carefully wrapped an arm around her, gently pulling her into him. She didn't fight back. She just simply leans into his warm embrace and rested her head on his shoulder carefully.
"Nothing's wrong... I just wanted to come see you." She said quietly, looking up at him.
He moved his mask off of his face and smiled, stroking her hair gently. She winces as she felt his hand glide over where her horns had been cut from her head, brutally. The artwork of her brother. He wiped her tears gently with his thumb and she wrapped he arms around him. She felt safe with him.
