Eve Hayden Gilmore, born 8th October 1984, to 16 year old Lorelai Gilmore and Christopher Hayden. For all 16 years of her life, Eve, her mother and her twin sister, Rory, lived in Stars Hollow. They went to Luke's Diner, they ordered coffee, they had a Danish on Danish Day, and for the first 15 years Rory and Eve went to their local Stars Hollow schools. When they were 16, they got excepted into Chilton, a prestigious school in Hartford.

Chilton is where Eve met her best friend, Kendall McKinley, and her other besties, Michelle Rochester and Ariel Wilkinson. In her first year at Chilton, Eve also met her first boyfriend Tristan Dugray; a relationship that ended after he kissed Rory at a party. This also impacted her relationship with her sister, and it hasn't been the same since.

Eve is very close with her mother, with the pair often accidentally speaking in sync, which annoys the hell out of Luke - which also motivates them to do it more. She isn't very close with her father, but to be fair neither is her sister. However, when he comes to visit they get on like a house on fire. And although, he doesn't ever specifically say it - she is his favourite child. Once, when visiting, he brought her a gold rolex. Which she always wears with pride.

Throughout her life, Eve has acquired multiple hobbies, such as: playing guitar, piano, keyboard, tennis, golf, swimming, dancing and hockey. She can also do magic and sing and speak Korean (which she learnt to find out what Mrs Kim was saying about her), French, Spanish, Italian, Chinese, Dutch, German, Latin, Greek, Portuguese and Russian.
