I remember your smile

As you wiped the tears from my face

And told me everything would be okay

As long as you were there with me

And I believed you

I remember the day you walked to the door

Telling me you'll be back

That you'll be fine

And I believed you

I remember seeing you there

Covered in blood

As I sat there, covered in tears

While you told me not to cry

Because you won't die

And I believed you

I remember being dragged away

Being told you were no longer alive

That you couldn't be saved

Why did I believe you?
