I'm looking forward to Christmas this year. My cousins are coming for Christmas dinner. Before dinner me and my cousins, Jamie and Annabelle, will go for a walk in the snow. We will go to the park and along the High Street. It's Christmas in a couple of weeks and i've bought all my presents. I bought my little sister a doll. I found the doll quite creepy but she seems to love it. Her face will light up when she unwraps the eerie looking doll. The doll has hair in unkempt bunches, an old fashioned maid dress and a cheesy smile with demon-looking eyes. She pointed it out at the charity shop we passed a couple of roads down from ours. Not much is on that road just an un-even, abandoned house. Every time I walk past that house it send shivers down my spine. Never saw anyone go in, or anyone come out, anyone near or anyone about.

Here it is, Christmas day. I've unwrapped all my presents, Mum got me a new laptop, it was first on my list. It's time to give my little sister Maisie her present. I handed my little sister, who looked at me with a big smile on her face, her present. As she grasped it she already started to tear the snowman wrapping paper into shreds. She looked at the doll with a beaming smile on her face shouting "Thankyou Joanne! You're the best sister ever!". But the dolls un-nerving head was to a tilt. I was pretty scared but tried to keep my fear from showing because after all, it's only a doll. So I smiled and replied "you're welcome!". We all opened our presents and then when Mum was cooking dinner, I went upstairs to my bedroom to get dressed and on my dressing table mirror there was a note. The note said "Consider this your warning, If you don't return the doll to the shop Maisie will get hurt".

In panic and worry I ran down the steps, my heart was pumping, nearly breaking a sweat shouting "MAISIE!!!!" My 3ft little sister turned round with the doll, whom I thought was evil, grasped tightly in her hands "what? Oh and i named my dolly Lulu" she said sweetly. Again the dolls head moved. It was back to how it was to start off with. "Maisie please hand me Lulu for a second?" I asked desperately. My little sister looked at me with shock, as if I'd killed her puppy "NO! Lulu is mine!" I decided that it wasn't going to work so I had a backup plan. Mum called Maisie to go and put her coat and wellies on for our walk in the snow. She left Lulu behind. I walked across half of the dining room and bent down on my knees by the Christmas tree where Lulu was. There was another sticky note on the crooked doll saying "Now is your chance, take me back. Think about innocent little Maisie." Immediately in my mind I planned to pop into the charity shop on our walk. I turned my back to go and get my coat when I heard a giggle. I looked back but the doll had moved position! I turned around to see if anyone was watching. This time I knew in my mind that this doll just wasn't right. I unzipped my bag and put the scary doll into it and ran out of the front door. Maisie wondered out the door in amazement because of the snow. We got to the bottom of the road and then Maisie shouted "Oh no! I've left Lulu behind!" I replied "don't worry, she will be fine."

As we were walking down the road, my cousin was winding Maisie up about how Lulu will be broken when she gets back and saying anything to try and make her annoyed. We walked to the unknown road. Annabelle dared Jamie to go and knock on the cobwebbed, abandoned house. Jamie being the dare devil he is, ran down the drive and knocked the door with quite a force. Suprisingly the door fell down. The doll was sitting on the wooden rocking chair in the corner of the room. It was singing: "Ring a ring a roses, a pocket full of poses, a tissue, a tissue we all fall down, WE ALL FALL DOWN!" Maisie ran over happily shouting "Lulu!" but I dragged her back. Me and my cousins were standing there in complete shock! Straight away me we ran out through the open doorway. We sprinted down the drive and went down the hill towards our road. When we got to the bottom of the road we looked back but we couldn't find Maisie! "MAISIE!!" "MAISIE!!" we shouted repeating ourselves.

But she was gone. We tried our hardest to run in the thick, crunching snow. Still shouting my little sister's name. We found Maisie In the crooked house, where we unknowingly left her. She wasn't right, we walked home leaving the doll behind. It was worrying me that Maisie was singing 'ring a ring a roses' continuously. I took Maisie's bag upstairs and I emptied  it out. There was the doll and another yellowish, torn note. The note said 'I warned you.'

Hmm, what's happening? Are my cousins winding me up? Am i thinking things? Or.. is this doll really possessed?
