Five years later......

Bens POV

The wind brushed my face and arms as I sat down on the bench. My hair blew in the soft winter air as small snowflakes fell from the marshmallow clouds. One landed on my nose and then melted. I watched as more and more started to rain down.

Suddenly the whole park was covered in a white blanket of ice and snow. I shivered as my cold wind lashed at my face. I got up and drudged through the snow. Ice and snow whipped at any bare skin. I ran home, the streets where bare and deserted. I turned and ran down alley way. Suddenly a voice growled, "STOP!"

I froze in place like I was suddenly made of stone. I turned to see three boys, about my age standing behind me. They had wicked grins and one held a knife.

"Give me all your money!" one snarled. He marched closer, thrusting the knife at me. "Or you'll get it."

My eyes narrowed and grabbed his wrist, twisting it and flipping him onto his back. I grabbed the knife and pointed it back at them. One gasped, his eyes widening. I wasn't very good compared to other people, but I could take down a mugger or two if I really wanted to.

"How did you do that?" one asked, amazed. I grinned and kicked the one lying at my feet on his back. I groaned and got up, stumbling into the nearest alley. The other two backed away slowly, arms raised in surrender.

I slipped the knife into my pocket and turned, I walked away. Secretly I was proud of myself. But I couldn't let that get away with that my real goal was: get to someplace warm. I ran to my appartment and hurried up the steps. I shoved the door open and praticlly threw myself into the small room.

I closed the door behind me, and threw of my coat and jacket. I grabbed a banana and peeled it like a monkey would. I ate it in three bites and walked into my room, where a treadmill sat in the corner. I walked over and turned it on.

I started running faster and fasters, but a memory trailed through my mind. A memory of a girl with ice blue eyes and dark hair laughing as we sat and talked about something I couldn't recall. I shook it off and scolded myself. I stopped the treadmill and hopped off, almost leaping into my bed. I threw on pajama's and curled up under blankets and pillows. But the memory of those ice blue eyes still lingered in my mind.

Erica's POV

I slammed the door closed and locked it, storming to my bed where kitten posters hung above me. I plopped down and looked at my phone. There where a million pictures and photo's. I got a notification saying my storage was full.

I scrolled to the side. I raced through lost of pictures until I was at the oldest pictures. One caught my eyes, it was of my and a handsome yet nerdy kind of boy next to me. We where smiling and laughing. Wait, I was smiling?

I growled in disgust. Another face caught my attention. A happy and cheerful yet fierce girl also stood beside me. And then another boy. He had the build and look of a cool guy that barely even cracked open a textbook and got C's in all his classes exept PE.

For some alien reason I didn't delete the picture. I lay down and locked my phone, shutting my eyes. I was determined to forget about that handsome yet nerdy boy. And that athletic boy. And that cheerful and happy girl yet fierce and tough.

But as I drifted to sleep the picture still buzzed at the back of my mind.

Sorry, this is so short! I will make the next one longer, I promise!
